St. Stephen college under the University of Delhi invites online applications for filling up 12 vacancies of Assistant Professors. Eligible candidates can fill these vacancies in 7 different subjects.
St. Stephen’s college has 4 vacancies in chemistry, 3 in philosophy, and 1 vacancy each in mathematics, economics, physics, english and hindi. This vacancies distribution is for the general category candidates. For the person with a disability, there is 1 vacancy in the subject of philosophy. PwD candidates are those who fall under the OH category i.e Orthopedically Handicapped.
As per the condition laid down by the university of Delhi, posts reserved for physically handicapped candidates will be filled before the other posts. It must also be noted that there can be a change in the number of post and vacancies as per the decision.
For being eligible to apply in the St. Stephen’s college for assistant professor one should have a good academic record with at least 55% marks at the master’s level. Along with this clearing UGC NET and CSIR NET is mandatory. However, relaxation of 5% is granted to the SC, ST, PH candidates and also to those having a PhD degree.
Eligible applicants will be called for an assistant professor interview based upon the educational qualification. The college reserves the right to call the limited number of applicants in accordance with the screening criteria decided by the authority.

The online application form is available on the college website under the notification section. The last date to fill the assistant professor’s application form is December 10, 2019. The notification also says the last date for receipt of the form is within 2 weeks from the date of notification published in the employment news. The fee for the assistant professor form is Rs. 500 for the UR, OBC and EWS category. SC, ST, PwD and women category applicants are exempted from the fee payment.
