Latest Update: SSC MTS 2017 Cancelled, Check Re Exam Dates Here
SSC has decided to cancel Paper I held in afternoon shift of Multi Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) of April 30, 2017. Only those who had appeared for the exam on that day in that shift will be allowed to appear in SSC MTS re-examination. The date of re-exam will be announced in some time. SSC deeply regrets the inconvenience caused.
Apart from the fact that the said paper was found “compromised”, nothing much else has been said about the matter. It is not clear exactly what the issue was – whether the paper was found to have leaked or there was any concern with the contents of the paper – is not clear. What matters immediately for the concern of candidates is that they should be prepared to take the test again.
Re-examination SSC MTS Admit Card 2017 will be released. Candidates (who appeared on 30.04.2017 afternoon shift) must download admit card. They will have to go to test center and attempt re-examination question paper.
SSC MTS 2017 is still to be held on 28.05.2017, 04.06.2017, 11.06.2017. The Commission is drawing up all measures to ensure that test goes smoothly on all those days. Candidates must themselves be alert and make sure they follow exam center norms to avoid hassles.
Recruitment to the posts of Multi Tasking Staff in pay band Rs 5200 – 20200 and Grade pay Rs 1800 (which is revised pay scale after 7th CPC) is an important recruitment. It leads to job in General central service group C non gazetted, non ministerial post in various central Government ministries / departments / offices in different states and union territories. The candidates who had applied in response to the advertisement dated 31 Dec 2016 were issued admit cards to appear for SSC MTS Examination 2017.
This case of having to hold a re-examination, just after the first day of test has made the candidates a bit nervous about exam proceedings. With so many days to still go for the exams to be over, candidates have raised concerns over measures taken to secure the exam in one go.
The answer to this can be glimpsed partially in the huge number of applicants. For an exam of such scale, issues have often cropped up even in the past.
Also Immediately after SSC MTS May 14, 2017 Examination for both shifts got over, the Staff Selection Commission notified that “It has come to the notice of the Commission that on a social media page”. To be precise, “the question papers of the MTS Examination 2016, with some answers were uploaded after the commencement of the Morning as well as the Evening Sessions of the examination.”
SSC has confirmed that it is looking into the matter by responding “The Commission is fully seized of the matter which is being closely investigated by the Investigating Agencies who are working on definite leads.” Whoever is behind this will be dealt with “The Commission would be taking appropriate action against the vested interests in accordance with rules of the Commission and as per law.” Candidates must not consider upcoming SSC MTS 2017 dates changed “In the meantime, the MTS Examination will continue as per schedule.”
Once again, candidates are reminded that if they have appeared for SSC MTS on April 30, 2017, afternoon session then they need to appear for re-examination.
