The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the result for Junior Hindi Translators, Junior Translators, Senior Hindi Translator and Hindi Pradhyapak Examination-2017 (Paper-II). The SSC JHT Paper II Result 2017 has been uploaded at the exam conducting authority’s website, ssc.nic.in. The examination for Paper II was conducted on 06 August 2017.

The Paper II exam was conducted on August 06, 2017. For it, 2042 candidates qualified and as per the released data, only 1296 qualified. The number of qualified candidates 317 for UR category, 245 for SC category, and 131, 516 for ST and OBC category.

Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their result now. The result is uploaded in pdf format which only contains the names of the qualified candidates. The candidates should check their Roll Number, Name, Post, Department, and Rank. No result will be sent individually to the candidates through post/email.

The cutoff of the exam has also been announced by SSC. Last year, it was 105, 65, 107, and 131 for SC, ST, OBC, and UR category, respectively. The cutoff this year has gone as 108, 65, 119, and 135 for same categories. Though there is a rise in cutoff, yet, the number of qualified candidates have increased by 220.

The candidates who will the qualify the SSC JHT Paper II examination will be allowed to participate for the document verification. Such candidates need to report at the venue on the scheduled date and time along with the relevant documents in proof of date of birth, educational qualification, category, etc. Failing to report at the counseling venue without these documents, the recruitment of such a candidate will be canceled.

After verification, a merit list will be released and the final selection will be done as per it. The merit will be prepared on the basis of the rank secured in the entrance exam and subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria. The merit list contains the name, roll number, category, marks obtained, pre-post, pre department. The candidates will be allocated to the post or department keeping in view their merit and preferences for which they are eligible.

The inter-se merit in case of two more candidates will be determined by the following methods: Candidates with higher marks in first part of the examination; if there is still a tie, the older candidates will be placed higher; if the tie remain still, the alphabetical order in which first names of the candidates appeared will be ranked higher.

The candidates, who will be appointed on the basis of this examination, will be on a probation period of two years. During the period of probation, the candidates would be required to undergo training or pass such examinations as prescribed by the Controlling Authority. On successful completion of the probation period, the candidates, if considered fit for permanent appointment, be confirmed to their post by the Controlling Authority.
