The Staff Selection Commission will be releasing a official notification day after tomorrow, that is August 01, 2019, for the examination of the post of Junior Hindi translator, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator, and Hindi Pradhyapak. The Commission for now has released a short notification confirming the release date of the official notification. The candidates are advised to fill up the application before the last date, i.e by August 28, 2019 from ssc.nic.in.
The eligibility criteria for SSC JHT posts is to have a masters’s degree or diploma with Hindi and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level from a recognized University or Institution. Also, the candidates must have a certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa or three years of experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa from Central or State government office.
By the same token, age limit needs to be adhered to apply for the SSC JHT post. Applicants are required to be below 30 years of age. The upper age limit is relaxed fort he reserved category candidates as per the government rules. The candidates who wish to seek vacancies or age-relaxation must submit a requisite certificate at the time of document verification. Or else, their candidature will be considered under unreserved category.
Before filling up the application form, the candidates are advised to keep the following documents handy : an active mobile number, verified email address, aadhaar card, pan card, voter id, driving license, college or school ID, board roll number, year of passing details. Along with these documents, the candidates will also have to keep ready a scanned colored passport size photograph of 20 to 50 kb size in (JPEG format).
Applicants with a blurred photograph will be rejected. Also, they need to keep ready a scanned signature of 10 to 20 kb size and a left hand thumb impression of size 10 kb to 30 kb. The candidates need to click on the Register Now button and fill the required segments (basic details, additional details, contact details, photo and signature. At last the candidates have to submit a fee of 100/- via SBI e-challan or by debit/credit card.
The selection process of Junior Hindi Translator also comprises of written examination (Paper I and Paper II) and document verification. Paper I will be in a computer based mode carrying a 100 mark for each MCQs. The subject will be of General Hindi and General English. Whereas Paper II is a descriptive type test carrying a mark of 200. Paper II is designed to test the translation skills and comprehension skills. For each incorrect answer, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
