The Staff Selection Commission of India has released a short notification for Junior Engineer Examination 2019. As per it, the autonomous body will hold Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying and Contracts) examination 2019 in computer based test mode. It will be organized for recruitment of JE in ministries and departments of Govt of India.
SSC JE 2019-2020 notification will be published at ssc.nic.in on August 1, 2019. The same will also be published in leading dailies.

The mode of the examination will be computer based. Through it, vacancies will be filled in different Ministries or departments under government of India and their attached and subordinate offices. SSC is an organization under the Government of India which is responsible for conducting examinations for various positions in the Ministries department.
This notification for SSC JE 2019-2020 comes at a time when the previous JE recruitment is yet to conclude; SSC JE 2018-2019 tier 1 is scheduled to be held from September 23, 2019, to September 27, 2019. Staff Selection Commission, through its regional and sub-regional offices, are going to release admit card for the same in August/September.
The SSC JE is organised for the recruitment of the candidates in various departments such as : Civil, mechanical, electrical, Quantity surveying and contracts. The qualifying candidates will be posted at either of the State or Central government offices including CPWD, Water commission, MES, Farrakka Barrage Project, Central water power research station and quality assurance naval.
The candidates have to be a graduate in civil or mechanical engineering / Diploma in electrical engineering from any recognized board / institution in their respective fields to sit for the SSC JE exam. As per the nationality criteria, a candidate must be either a citizen of India, or subject of Nepal / Bhutan / Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 01, 1962. He /she can also be Indian who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East Africa countries.
The interested candidates have to fill up the application form to appear for the exam. The forms will be available online in the official website of ssc.nic.in. To apply, the aspirants need to go to ssc.nic.in and fill application form of SSC JE 2019. While filling up the application form, the candidates need to select their preferred examination center, personal details, educational details and then pay the fees. After submission of the form, the candidates will receive their online generated hall ticket prior to exam. Candidates are requested to carry the hard copy of the hall ticket on the day of their examination.
The Examination will consist of two Papers – Paper I for 100 marks (Computer Based Examination) and Paper-II for 300 marks (Descriptive Type). Paper I includes topics from : General intelligence and reasoning, general awareness, and general engineering. Paper II includes topics from : General engineering (civil and structural / electrical / mechanical).
The result will be made by the SSC on the basis of normalization of scores of the candidates for the exam which are conducted in multi-shifts to take into account for variation in the difficulty levels of the question papers.
