On Friday i.e. February 15, 2019, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) revealed the number of vacancies for SSC JE Recruitment 2019. A total of 1601 vacancies will be filled for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil), Junior Engineer (Mechanical), Junior Engineer (Electrical), Junior Engineer (Electrical and Mechanical), Junior Engineer (Quality Surveying and Contract) in different organizations. The application process of SSC JE was started on February 01, 2019. The Commission will accept the candidate’s application until February 25, 2019.
At the time of recruitment, the vacancies were not announced. In the official notification, it has been clearly mentioned that vacancies will be introduced in due course. The notification was released on February 01, 2019. Only the exact number of vacancies was disclosed on February 15, 2019, but the name of post and organization names were known through the official notification, as while filling the application form candidates have to choose the post preference and organization preference.

The application form is accessible on the official website of SSC i.e. ssc.nic.in. The candidates have to fill the online application by submitting the application fee. The application fee for the General and OBC candidates is Rs. 100/-, whereas the Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PWD/ Ex-Servicemen are exempted to pay the fee.
The mode of payment is online and as well as offline. The for online payment the candidates can use the credit card/ debit card/ net banking, and for the offline payment, the candidates have to deposit the fee though e – challan. The last date to generate challan is submitting an online fee is February 27, 2019, after generating the challan the candidates can submit the fee up to February 28, 2019.
Commission has decided to conduct two phases of examination for the recruitment of the candidates. At first, all the registered candidates will be called for the online examination i.e. paper I. The paper I will be conducted from September 23 to 27, 2019. The candidates have to undergo the objective type of examination. The admit card for the examination will be issued 07 days prior to the examination.
On qualifying the paper I the candidates will have to appear in paper II, that is a conventional typewritten the examination. To be recruited as the JE, the aspirants need to obtain the marks more than the minimum qualifying marks decided by the SSC, the 30% marks have to be obtained by Unreserved candidates, for OBC /EWS, the marks is 25%, and other reserved category candidates have to secure 20% marks.
