Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is about to announce the results of Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2018-19 today, i.e September 12, 2019 at ssc.nic.in. Earlier, the result was about to be released yesterday. However it was postponed due to undisclosed reasons.
The commission has published a short notification about the new date and time for SSC CHSL result that says “Candidates of Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2018 may note that result of the Tier-I Examination, which was to be declared on 11.09.2019 will now be declared on 12.09.2019 after 7 PM positively”.
The CHSL examination was conducted from July 1 to July 11. Candidates who appeared in the examination, will be able to check their results today at the official website of SSC that is ssc.nic.in. The result will be announced in a pdf file containing details of the qualifiers like candidate’s roll number, name, category.
There are three tiers in SSC CHSL exam, i.e Tier I, Tier II and Tier III. First, the result and marks of Tier I for all region will be published. Then Tier II will be held and its result will be published in 3 lists, wherein, list 1 will be for the candidates qualified in DEST for DEO in CAG, list 2 for the candidates qualified for typing test for PA / SA / LDC / Court Clerk and list 3 for the candidates qualified in DEST for DEO in departments other than CAG respectively. After that tier III will be held.
The minimum qualifying marks for the post of Postal assistant / Sorting assistant / LDC / Court clerk is 33 for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-servicemen, OH, HH, VH and UR in Tier III exam i.e skill test is a qualifying type. Candidates who qualify the tier III will be called for document verification to check the eligibility as per the information was given while filling up the application form. The final allocation of candidates will be made depending on their merit position and the option exercised by them during document verification.
When the entire selection process will get over, the Commission will prepare the final merit list for the shortlisted candidates. While preparing the merit list, an incident might occur where two or more candidates secures the same marks. In this condition, SSC will resolve the tie by first considering the total marks obtained in tier II exam. If the tie doesn’t resolves, then marks of tier I will be considered. If the tie still remains, the elder candidate will be given preference. Lastly, the tie could be resolved only by alphabetical order of names of the candidates.
After selection, candidates applying for Lower Division Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) will be paid as per the pay band 1 and their monthly pay will be Rs. 5200-20200 with a grade pay of Rs 1900 (pre-revised). Postal Assistant (PA) / Sorting Assistant (SA) will be paid according to the pay band 1 and the initial pay will be Rs 5200-20200 with a grade pay of Rs 2400 (pre-revised). Data Entry Operator (DEO) will get a monthly pay of Rs 5200-20200 with a grade pay of Rs. 2400 (pre-revised). Data Entry Operator, Grade A will get a monthly pay as per the pay band 1, i.e Rs 5200-20200), with a grade pay of Rs. 2400 (pre-revised).
