Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has published a new notification regarding the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) 2019. As per the notification, the commission informs that it is extending the deadlines pertaining to application form fee payments, however the last date for registration shall remain the same.
Whereas earlier the last date to generate offline challan was January 12, 2020, it is now going to be January 14, 2020, 11.59 pm. Also, whereas previously the last date to pay application form through challan was January 14, 2020, it will now be January 16, 2020.
Besides these two date changes, no other aspect of the exam has been changed. The last date to apply online for this national level exam for recruitment to various posts in officers, ministries and departments of the government India, shall remain January 10, 2020. On the last day, registrations shall be discontinued at 11.59 pm.
Also, the SSC CHSL tier 1 exam date is unchanged and it will be March 16 to 27, 2020. Tier 2 exam date will be June 28, 2020.
SSC CHSL 2019 is the examination process for recruitment to lower division clerk or junior secretariat assistant post in pay level 2, postal assistant and sorting assistant in pay level 4, data entry operator in pay level 4, and data entry operator grade a in pay level 4. Pay level 2 corresponds to a salary of Rs 19,900 to Rs 63,200. And pay level 4 means a salary of Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,100.
Class 12th pass candidates in the age range of 18 to 27 years as on January 1, 2020 can apply for all the posts, except DEO grade a post that requires one to be class 12th pass in science stream with mathematics as a subject. Application form has to be filled and submitted at ssc.nic.in; application fee is Rs 100. SC, ST, PWD, ESM candidates are exempted from the fee.
Last month, SSC concluded the application form submission process for SSC CGL, on November 25, 2019. Candidates complained that on the last day they faced technical issues and were unable to complete their forms. However the deadline to apply was not extended as the commission had pre-informed, more than once, that candidates need to fill their forms before the last date to avoid technical issues.
Even though the commission takes multiple steps to ensure that registration process for SSC exams are smooth, technical issues inevitably arise simply because the number of people trying to complete their registrations on last date reach high numbers.
For SSC CHSL also, Staff Selection Commission published a notice eight days ago saying “F.NO.3-6/2019-P&P-I(Vol.1): Aspiring candidates of Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2019, are hereby advised, in their own interest, to submit their online applications much before the closing date, i.e., 10.01.2020 and not to wait till the last date as there may be heavy traffic on the servers during the last days for submission of the applications.”
