Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has published a short notification for Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) 2020 exam today. The commission says that it will hold the CHSL 10+2 examination in computer based mode for recruitment to the posts of lower division clerk (LDC), junior secretarial assistant (JSA), postal assistant (PA), sorting assistant (SA), data entry operator (DEO), data entry operator grade A.
These posts will be filled in different ministries, departments, offices of the government of India and their attached and subordinate offices.
The SSC CHSL tier 1 exam will be held from March 16 to 27, 2020. This exam will be held on multiple dates in multiple shifts.
It may be noted however that officially the exam is titled as SSC CHSL 2019, hence the age cut off shall be calculated as such. However the exam being scheduled for a date next year, candidates widely refer to it as SSC CHSL 2020.
SSC had published the year 2019-2020 calendar a while ago, and as per that too the exam date for the 10+2 level exam was March 16 to 27, 2020. Considering that SSC has confirmed the exam dates to remain the same, rest of the dates pertaining to this exam, in the calendar, should be valid as well.
The detailed notification for SSC CHSL 2020 will be thus released on December 3, 2019. On the same date, application form submission for the exam will begin. Last date to apply will be January 10, 2020.
Tier 2 exam for selection to advertised posts will be held on June 28, 2020.
While tier 1 will be a computer based exam, tier 2 shall be a descriptive test.
The SSC CHSL exam is a popular one among government job aspirants. Primarily because of the educational qualification requirement; class 12th pass qualification is enough to appear in this exam, and thus the level of questions too are for the same.
Detailed notification will be released on the scheduled date at ssc.nic.in. From the same date, candidates will be able to login to their ssc.nic.in account and apply for the exam.
Aspirants may note that they can do the one time registration for SSC anytime, even now. So those who are planning to apply for the upcoming SSC CHSL LDC DEO PA/SA (10+2) 2020 exam, can do their registration now to save time later.
No fee needs to be paid during registration. Only personal details have to be entered. Mobile number, email id, aadhaar number or any ID detail, board, roll number and year of passing matriculation exam, scanned color photograph, scanned signature are few details asked during registration.
For the SSC one time registration, candidates need to upload a photo 3.5 cm by 4.5 cm in dimension in jpeg format photo that is 20 to 50 kb in size. And, signature in a box of dimension 4 cm by 3 cm and size 10 to 20 kb.
