The Staff Selection Commission had successfully conducted the SSC Tier I examination from August 5, 2017, to August 23, 2017. Total 15,43,962 candidates appeared for the examination which was conducted in 43 batches across the country. In a notification published today, SSC has conveyed that the commission shall upload the provisional answer key for inviting challenges from the candidates on September 18, 2017. The solution key will be uploaded on the official website of SSC at ssc.nic.in
To download the answer key once it is available, candidates need to visit the official website and then click on the answer key which will be mentioned on the website. Download it and save it in the computers. Through the answer key candidates can cross check the answers they have written in the examination and can calculate the marks accordingly.
If in case candidates have any doubt regarding the answers then the candidates can challenge the answer key. “Any representation to answer key of the examination will be scrutinized with the help of experts, wherever necessary, and evaluation, in that case, will be done with modified answer key. The decision of the Commission in this regard will be final and no further representation will be entertained” as prescribed by Staff Selection Commission.
Candidates should note that they can challenge the provisional answer key within the prescribed time notified by SSC. While challenging the answer key, candidates must produce the reference material that is only from NCERT books in support of their claim. No other support material such as reference books will be accepted as proof of your claim. If the challenge/ objection submitted by the candidate is accepted and cleared by the conducting body then subsequent changes will be done in the final answer key.
The candidates who are too curious to know the answers to the questions of SSC CGL Tier I 2017 can refer to the unofficial answer keys. The various coaching institutes release the unofficial answer key within a week of the examination on their websites. The candidates should note that these unofficial answer keys are just for the guidance purposes. Candidates can refer the answers but do not rely on these completely. The entrant can calculate the estimate marks of the examination by using unofficial answer key. However, for assurance of the marks wait for the final answer key to be released by the official website. After the release of the final answer key, the result will be published on the official website.
The result of SSC CGL Tier I 2017 examination will probably be released in the month of November. The result can be checked from the official website of SSC at ssc.nic.in The result will be published in the Pdf format in which the names of the qualified candidates along with their roll numbers and category will be mentioned. To qualify the examination, candidates must satisfy the minimum marks requirement only then they will proceed to Tier II. Candidates must start preparing for the November SSC Tier II examination.
In the year 2016, about 14.99 lakh candidates appeared in the SSC CGL Tier I 2016 examination. Out of which only 1,49,319 candidates qualified for Tier-II of the said examination. Whereas 38.04 lakh candidates registered for the 2016 SSC CGL Tier I examination. If we see compare the data to this year’s number of candidates who have appeared for the examination till now, the data stands to be 15,43,962. There is a clear difference between the two. Comparably, around 143,863 number of candidates have appeared for SSC CGL Tier I 2017.
