Staff Selection Commission has announced that it will declare final result of SSC CGL 2016 on August 4, 2017 at 11 PM. Candidates who appeared in tier 3 and / or tier 4 can check result online on announcement. Qualifying criteria is fixed by the Commission.

Date of declaration of result was already notified a few days ago. A new notification on SSC website released today now mentions time of result announcement as 11 PM (2300 hours). It also mentions that audit paras and pending legal court cases in CR region were reviewed on August 4, 2017.

Previously, Combined Graduate Level Examination 2016 (Tier 2) was held from November 30, 2016 to December 2, 2016 and re-examination was held at certain venues on January 12, and January 13, 2017. Result of tier 2 was announced on February 28, 2017 and marks of qualified candidates was declared on March 2, 2017.

A total of 4796 candidates had qualified for tier 3 for post of Assistant Audit Officer. Candidates qualified for Tier 3 CPT for Assistant Section Officer in CSS and Assistant in MEA were 15030 in number. Total 1254 had qualified for tier 3 for Junior Statistical Officer Grade II. Those who have qualified for tier 3 DEST for all posts except AAO, ASO / Assistant in MEA and CSS and Junior Statistical Officer Grade 2 is 35,089. Overall 35,906 candidates were declared qualified for Tier 3 after excluding common candidates. Now all those who have appeared in exam can check final result as per schedule.

Computer Proficiency Test and Data Entry Skill Test are of qualifying in nature. Such candidates who qualify in module I of DEST are eligible for evaluation of module II and III of CPT. Cut off in module I of CPT for evaluation of CPT module II and III was 5% for UR, 7% for SC, 15% for ST, and 7% for OBC last time. Likewise, cutoff in module II and III of CPT was 120 for UR, 100 for SC, ST, OBC.

SSC does allocation for three separate lists: List I (interview posts other than SI), List II (SI grade 2), List 3 (non interview posts).

Last time 8,511 candidates qualified as per CGL final result. As soon as SSC CGL 2016 final result is published, candidates will also get to know post wise and category wise details of vacancies, selected candidates and marks of last selected candidates.

To resolve tiers, first of all total marks in written examination and interview are used. After that total marks of tier 2 exam, and then that of tier 1 exam is looked at. Next, date of birth (older candidate is placed higher). Even if then tie is not resolved, then alphabetical order in which first names of candidates appear are used.
