SRM Institute of Science and Technology has announced the results today, May 28, 2021, for the SRM Joint Entrance Examination for Engineering (SRMJEEE) 2021 Phase I. Candidates who appeared for the entrance test on May 23 and 24, 2021, can check their results on the official website srmist.edu.in by clicking on the result link. Those who qualify for the entrance exam have to appear for the online counselling session as per the dates notified by authorities. However, before that, aspirants have to fill in their course and campus choices on the official website.
To perform the choice-filling process, aspirants have to log in to the official website srmist.edu.in using their login credentials such as User ID and password. After logging in, aspirants must provide their choice of campus, programme and specialisation choices. The choice filling process shall be made available for candidates from May 28, to 29, 2021, up to 11:00 pm.
Candidates must bear in mind that they cannot change their programme preferences after clicking on the ‘Submit’ option. No modification requests shall be entertained by authorities. Furthermore, there is no cut-off marks system at SRM institute. Instead, candidates are assigned ranks based on their marks in the entrance test. During the choice-filling and counselling session, seats are filled based on the candidates’ course and campus choices.
The Admission Committee of SRM Institute shall allot seats to candidates based on their SRMJEEE 2021 Phase -I rank. This allotment shall also be based on the choices entered by the candidate. Authorities shall publish the official allotment on the institute’s online admission portal in due course of time.
Once candidates accept the allotment, they are required to pay Rs.1,10,000 as a counselling fee. This fee is non-refundable and includes a non-transferable registration fee of Rs.10,000. The remaining amount is the tuition fee for the selected course. After successfully paying the counselling fee, candidates can download their Provisional Allotment Letter (PAL) and fee receipt. They are requested to take a printout of these documents for future use.
Aspirants wanting to confirm their admission must pay their counselling fee on or before June 02, 2021, up to 5:00 pm. If they do not pay the fee within the prescribed deadline, their admission shall be cancelled. Furthermore, any offline modes such as cheque and cash shall not be accepted by authorities.
SRM institute also offers scholarships to candidates who have acquired a good rank in the entrance exam. In case a candidate is offered this scholarship, the same shall be published on official website. However, candidates must remember that these scholarships are only awarded to those candidates who participate in the counselling session conducted by SRMJCCA 2021.
