SRM University commences B.Tech admission with the release of SRMJEEE 2020 application form on October 28, 2019. The online application form has been released on the official website of the university, srmist.edu.in. Earlier, on October 22, 2019, the University had started admission for international candidates too. SRMJEEE 2020 is scheduled to be held from April 12 -20, 2020
The B.Tech admission forms are also available in the 155 head post offices across India. The last date to fill SRM University B.Tech application form 2020 is March 30, 2020, if applied online. If offline mode of application is selected, then the last date to submit the form is February 29, 2020.
The online application process of SRMJEEE 2020 includes registering ove the official website, verifying the email id, filling the online form, paying the application fee and uploading the scanned photo and signature.
The international applicants can complete their application form until August 15, 2020. The application fee is Rs. 1100/- for Indian nationals and for the categories. For international candidates the application fee is Rs. USD 50/- or INR 3000/-.
The mode of application fee payment is Credit card/Debit card/Net banking/Wallet/UPI. Also, offline mode application fee payment is also available via DD. Demand Draft must be drawn in favor of “SRMIST” payable at Chennai. The same is to be sent along with a printed copy of SRMJEEE Application Form 2020 with complete details at SRM University, SRM Nagar, Kattankulathur – 603203, Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu.
The SRMJEEE 2020 application form released at srmist.edu.in is common for admission in all SRM campuses that are: SRM IST Chennai; SRM University – Sonepat, Haryana; and SRM University – AP Amaravati.
The exam pattern of SRM Joint Entrance Examination – Engineering (SRMJEEE) has undergone change this year. This year 2 new section has een added which are the English and the Aptitude section. Earlier there were only 3 sections Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. This year the pattern will be:
Physics and Chemistry section will have 35 questions of 35 marks each. Mathematics / Biology section will have 40 questions of 40 marks. The new section English will have 5 questions of 5 marks and Aptitude will have 10 questions of 10 marks. There will be no negatove marking and each correct answer will have 1 marks.
The total number of questions will be 125 and total marks 125. Th test will be in CBT mode and has to be completed in 2:30 hours. The type of questions will be MCQ only.
SRm University offers 19 Major B.Tech Programmes, 15 B.Tech specialisations and 15 Minor B.Tech programmes. To be eligible for B.Tech admission the candidates must be in class 12 or have passed 10+2 in 2020. The subject combinations needed are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology/Botany & Zoology / Biotechnology as major subjects in the full-time stream from any State Board, CBSE, ICSE, Matriculation, or NIOS. The lower age limit for admission is 16 years and the maximum age limit is 21 years.
