Southern Railway Recruitment 2019 notification was released a few days ago for 3,585 that is three thousand five hundred and eighty five vacancies. Now, candidates can apply online against the available positions in online mode. The last date to apply online is December 31, 2019, 5 pm.
It is for the engagement of candidates as Act Apprentices that Southern Railway, Railway Recruitment Cell Chennai has published three notifications, one each for Carriage Works Perambur, Central Workshop Golden Rock, Signal and Telecommunication Workshop Podanur.
The notifications respectively carry 1208, 723, and 1654 vacancies or seats. Interested and eligible candidates with ITI can apply online at iroams.com, which is a website that has been launched by the SR railways or RRC Chennai for the purpose of this engagement.
To apply, candidates need to go to iroams.com, and click the register button. Then select unit, applying as (fresher or ITI), division, trade where one wishes to apply, and then proceed to fill the online form. One has to fill mobile number, email id, UID / aadhaar number, personal details, education details, upload recent photograph, and pay the fee to apply online.
Application fee is Rs 100.
The website shows the details as preview before submission of form. If any changes are required, they need to be done at that time only. No separate provision will be given for form corrections.
While both recruitment notification can be viewed at the website, and form can be filled, details of the engagement and the railways can be checked at sr.indianrailways.gov.in and rrcmas.in.
This railway recruitment is for class 10th pass candidates, who passed the standard under 10+2 scheme, with ITI in relevant trade. Candidates must have at least 50% in SSLC, however this requirement does not stand for SC, ST, PWD candidates.
Southern Railway recruitment notification by Signal and Telecommunication Workshop Podanur has 43 vacancies in fresher category, 52 for Signal and Telecommunication Workshop Podanur, 683 for Trivandrum division, 666 for Palghat division, and 210 for the Salem division.
By the same token the vacancy division in the notification by Carriage Works Perambur has 100 vacancies in fresher category where 80 vacancies are in Carriage Works Perambur, 20 in Railway Hospital Perambur; and 1108 vacancies in ex ITI category where there are 384 vacancies in Carriage and Wagon Works Perambur, 130 in Electrical Workshop Perambur, 214 in Loco Works Perambur, 67 in Engineering Workshop Arakkonam, 74 in Chennai Division RS/AJJ, 102 in Chennai Division RS/AVD, 60 in Chennai Division RS/TBM, 9 in Chennai Division DSL/TNP, 38 in Chennai Division CW/BBQ, 27 in Chennai Division RS/RPM, and 3 in Railway Hospital Perambur.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their applications and shortlisted status will be released after the closing date of applications.
Besides Southern Railway Recruitment 2019 or engagement of apprentice, the other railway zones where apprentice engagement apply online process are ongoing are North East Railway (last date 25 Dec), South Central Railway (last date 8 Dec), Railway RRC Jaipur (last date 8 Dec).
