SJVN Limited is conducting the recruitment / engagement process for apprenticeship training under the apprenticeship act 1961 in various trades. SJVN recruitment 2019 notification has been published on the official website at sjvn.nic.in, vide Advt. No. 90/2019. Against it, the mini ratna company Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam is inviting application form online till December 31, 2019. The recruitment will be done for a total of 230 vacancies under different trades for graduate apprentices, technical diploma apprentices and technician ITI apprentices.
There are a total of 100 seats in 9 disciplines for graduate apprentices category namely mechanical, E&C, electrical, civil, architecture, instrumentation, env. pollution, applied geology and IT. Similarly, there are 50 seats for various disciplines under the Technician diploma apprentices category viz, mechanical, electrical, civil, architecture and IT. The same for the technician apprentices are 80 seats for disciplines like electrician, stenography, fitter, welder, mechanic and computer assembly and maintenance.
SJVN, according to the recruitment advertisement, has reserved seats for SC, ST and PWDs category candidates as per the provision of apprenticeship act 1961. Moreover, out of the total seats, 25% of seats will be given preference for the project affected families and project affected areas.
The required qualification for applying for the graduate apprentices is to have a full-time degree in engineering in relevant branch from a university recognized by AICTE. Similarly for the Technician diploma apprentices candidates must have a full-time diploma in the relevant branch. For the candidates to apply for the ITI apprentices, they must have passed ITI from a recognised institute.
As per the instructions laid down under the notice, only the domicile of Himachal Pradesh are eligible to apply. Also, those candidates who have undergone apprentice training in SJVN must not apply for ongoing recruitment.
The age limit prescribed by SJVN for being eligible to apply is minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on December 31, 2019. However the age of SC, ST are relaxed by 5 years, OBC by 3 years and PWDs by 10 years.
However, candidates can refer to the details regarding the educational qualification, distribution of seats, age limit, selection criteria, salary of different trades, eligibility criteria along with other recruitment guidelines published on the website, available at sjvn.nic.in.
Eligible candidates can apply for the SJVN recruitment 2019 online on sjvn.nic.in through the career section. On the main page of the website click on “current job” and soon a list of recruitment opens. Select the topmost link stating “ apprenticeship training in HP”. Access the link, do the registration and submit the form.
For registration, candidates need an active mobile number and an email id and have to upload a scanned passport size photograph and signature of size less than 500 KB in jpg or jpeg format only.
The application fee charged by SJVN for submitting the application form is Rs. 100. The fee can be paid only through online mode using net banking, credit card or debit card. However, SC, SST and PWD category candidates are exempted for paying the fee.
For the selection of the candidates, SJVN will not conduct an interview, rather will select the candidates based on the marks secured in matriculation, ITI course, diploma and bachelor’s degree. The selected candidates as per the criteria of SJVN will be put on training for a period of 1 year for which SJVN will provide a stipend of Rs. 10,000 to the graduate apprentices, 8,000 to diploma holders and 7,000 to ITI apprentices.
