Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has released the official notification for SEBI Grade A post today. As of now, 120 vacancies are announced in multiple streams like General, Legal, IT, Research, etc. Candidates aspiring to work with SEBI Grade A can fill the application form on the official website, sebi.gov.in starting today, January 05, 2022.
As per the schedule, the application form filling will end on January 24, 2022. The SEBI Grade A Phase 1 exam is scheduled for February 20, 2022, whereas the phase 2 exam is going to be held on March 20, 2022. The main exam for phase 2 for the IT stream shall be held on April 03, 2022. Meanwhile, the board will intimate the interview dates later on through its official website.
The age of the candidates going to apply for SEBI Grade A post must not be more than 30 years as of December 30, 2021. The required academic details for a General post are having a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Law/CA/CS etc. Same way, the academic qualification for Legal, IT, Research is having a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Engineering, and Statistics respectively. The required eligibility criteria for Language posts is passing Bachelor’s degree with English/Hindi as the major subject.
As per the prescribed SEBI Grade A exam pattern, phase 1 is going to have two papers. Paper 1 is going to have 100 questions from GA, English, Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude having a duration of 60 minutes. Paper 2 will have 100 questions based on the discipline chosen by the candidates with a duration of 40 minutes. SEBI Grade A Mains exam is also going to have two papers, papers 1 and 2.
Paper 1 will have questions based on a descriptive test and it shall be held for 100 marks for a duration of 60 minutes. Phase 2 paper 2 is going to have 100 multiple choice-based questions focusing on the discipline opted by the candidate held for 40 minutes. The complete syllabus admissible for each subject asked in the SEBI Grade A phase 1 and phase 2 exam is mentioned on the official notification.
Post selection in the selection process, candidates shall be kept in a probation period of 2 years. During this period, they will be eligible to draw a salary on the pay scale of INR 28150-1550(4)-34350-1750(7)-46600-EB1750(4)-53600-2000(1)-55600 (17 years). Other than the basic salary, they shall also be eligible to receive a plethora of other allowances, benefits such as DA, HRA, Family Allowance, NPS, etc.
