Rail Wheel Factory (RWF), Ministry of Railways, hereby publishes notification for engagement as Trade Apprentices under the Apprentices Act. Applications are invited for 192 vacancies via notification no. RWF / AT-16 / 627 (2019-20) at rwf.indianrailways.gov.in. Eligible candidates can fill the pre-formatted application form offline and submit the same by the last date of November 15, 2019.
Visit rwf.indianrailways.gov.in -> Engagement of candidates to under go training under apprentices act 1961,in rail wheel factory -> Download the notification. Print the notification and separate annexure A, which is the application form. Enter details in it and submit the same.
After filling the application form once downloading it from the website, applicants have two options to either dropped in the sealed dropbox kept in the office of the Principal Chief Personnel, Personnel Department, Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka, Bangalore – 560064 on all working days between monday to friday between 9 am to 4:50 pm. Or send by registered post superscribing “Application for undergoing training under the Apprentices Act 1961 for the year 2019-20 in Rail Wheel Factory”. Enclosures should also be submitted in the same envelope.
The apprenticeship program is open for those who have cleared 10th class (or its equivalent) scoring at least 50% aggregate marks. While possessing a National Trade Certificate in the designated trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). They should fall in the age bracket of 15 years and should not have completed 24 years as on November 15, 2019. They must also note that those who have registered their names with the Employment exchange within the state of Karnataka are only eligible to apply.
Designated trade open for recruitment are Fitter, Machinist, Mechanic (Motor vehicle), Turner, CNC Programming cum operator, Electrician and Electronic Mechanic. For all post total 8 and 6 seats are allotted for PwD and ESM candidates respectively. The application will get selected on the basis of the marks secured and result of the selected application form candidates will be displayed probably on December 12,2019.
Against the filling of the application form, the candidates have to pay a requisite fee of Rs. 100 through Indian postal order / Demand Draft in favor of ‘Principal Financial Adviser, Rail Wheel Factory’. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/Female and are physically handicapped shall enjoy an exemption from paying the processing fee of application form.
The selection will be done on the basis of the marks in the 10th class and those who are having same marks then candidate having an older age shall be preferred. In the case where this criteria also fails then the candidates who have passed the 10th class early will get a consideration.
The finally selected candidates will undergo training and paid a stipend of Rs. 10,899 per month for the post of Fitter, Machinist, Mechanic (Motor vehicle), Turner, Electrician and Electronic Mechanic and for the post of CNC Programming cum operator the stipend is set at Rs. 12,261 per month.
Probable date of display of list of selected candidates is December 16, 2019. The tentative date for the commencement of training is January 02, 2020.
