Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have published a notification about the postponement of RRB NTPC 2019 CBT 1 exam date. As per the notification, initially the exam was supposed to be held from June to September this year, however it will not be held as per that schedule. First stage computer based test (CBT) for the Non Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) recruitment 2019 will be held as per revised schedule, which RRBs will publish shortly. A concrete date for conducting the exams has not been revealed.
The notice is with the title “Notice on 1 st stage CBT for CEN-01/2019 for NTPC posts.”
It says, “It was indicated in the employment notice that the 1st stage computer based test (CBT) is tentatively scheduled between June and September 2019. However, it has been postponed. The revised schedule will be published in the official websites of all RRBs later on. Candidates are advised to visit the official websites of RRBs regularly.”
Other than that, no other information has been provided.
Most candidates were already aware that RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam date 2019 is being postponed. First of all, there was no notification yet about the actual exam dates. And secondly, last month RRBs publicly published a notification through which they started looking for a new exam conducting agency.
So since the end of September, it became quite obvious that both RRB NTPC (CEN 01/2019) and RRB Group D (RRC CEN 01/2019) are not going to be held soon. However finally an official notification puts candidates at ease that RRBs have not forgotten about the exams. Nevertheless now the bigger question now is – when will the exam be held?
If reports are to be believed, then RRB NTPC 2019 CBT 1 exam may not happen before December. It may even be postponed to January 2020. However until RRBs finalize anything, everything else is just speculation or rumor, and candidates must only focus at preparation right now, and wait for RRBs to publish the final exam dates, which is now expected to happen soon after RRB JE CBT 2 result 2019 is announced.
A total of 1,26,30,885 (1.26 crore) candidates have applied for RRB NTPC 2019, against 35,208 vacancies. First, RRB NTPC exam date 2019 will be announced. Then, exam city and date intimation link will be activated. After that admit card will be released.
The exam date notification will only tell all the exam dates and admit card release dates. When the RRB NTPC exam city intimation releases, it will tell each candidate his or her exam date and city where he or she will get exam center.
Then it is expected that just four days before the exam, candidates will be able to download their RRB NTPC admit card 2019.
The first stage of the computer based test or CBT 1 will be held as a common exam for all candidates. It will be a 1.5 hours duration exam with 100 questions. There will be questions from three sections namely general awareness, mathematics, general intelligence and reasoning, with respectively 40, 30, and 30 questions. In the exam, there will be negative marking of ⅓ marks for incorrect answers.
On the basis of CBT 1, candidates will be shortlisted for CBT 2, which will again be common for all posts. After that there will be computer based aptitude test only for traffic assistant and station master posts. Then there will be typing skill test for senior clerk cum typist, junior accounts assistant cum typist, senior time keeper, junior clerk cum typist, accounts clerk cum typist and junior time keeper. Finally, there will be document verification.
Through this recruitment, Indian Railways will fill various non technical popular category posts such as junior clerk cum typist, accounts clerk cum typist, junior time keeper, trains clerk, commercial cum ticket clerk, traffic assistant, goods guard, senior commercial cum ticket clerk, senior clerk cum typist, junior account assistant cum typist, senior time keeper, commercial apprentice and station master.
