Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has published notification for recruitment of Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer (Information Technology), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA). The notification for the recruitment has been published today, on December 26, 2018, in employment newspaper.
The application form for RRB JE Recruitment 2019 is going to be available from January 02, 2019. The aspirants can apply for the recruitment by online mode only at the official website of
Now, before the candidates proceed to register for the recruitment process, it is advised that they should check the eligibility criteria for the post. There is a certain age limit, educational qualification requirement, etc which one need to fulfill in order to apply for the Computer-based test.

The candidates must be between 18-33 years of age as on January 01, 2019. The Board is providing relaxation in Upper age limit to the candidates who belong to the reserved category.
As far as the educational qualification requirement is concerned, the candidates must note that in order to apply for the post of Junior Engineer, they must have a Diploma/ degree in Engineering in the relevant discipline.
To apply for the post of Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), the candidates must have obtained a Diploma/ degree in Engineering from any discipline. For the post of Junior Engineer (IT), the candidates must possess a PGDCA/ BSc (CS)/ BCA/ BTech (IT)/ BTech (CS)/ DOEACC ‘B’ level course of 3 years duration or its equivalent.
The educational qualification requirement for the post of Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant, is that the candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Science with Physics and Chemistry. Furthermore, the candidates should have obtained 45% marks in the degree examination.
To apply for the RRB JE Recruitment 2019, the aspirants need to register online. At the time of registration, the aspirants need to provide details such as name, Date of Birth and Father’s name, Mother’s name, Aadhar number, State, etc. Now, before the candidate proceed to submit the registration, it is advised that they should got through it once.
It is advised to the candidates to submit their own Personal Email ID and Mobile Number at the time of the registration. Furthermore, a verification of email ID and mobile number will be done through OTP.
Once the candidates have successfully registered for the RRB JE Recruitment, they can proceed to fill in details in the RRB JE 2019 Application Form. In the Online Application Form, the aspirants need to provide their Personal Details, Educational Qualification details, etc. Also, the aspirants shall have upload scanned images of their recent passport size photograph, signature, thumb impression in the RRB JE 2019 online application.
Finally, to submit the RRB JE 2019 Application Form, the aspirants have to pay an amount of Rs. 500/- which is applicable for all categories, except the reserved category candidates. Out of this application fee of Rs. 500/- the board will refund an amount of Rs. 400/- to those candidates who will appear for Stage 1 CBT for RRB JE Recruitment 2019.
A fee concession is provided for the candidates who belongs to SC/ ST/ Ex-servicemen/ PwDs/ Women/ Transgender/ Minorities/ Economic backward classes. Such candidates need to pay an amount of Rs. 250/- and this amount will be refunded by the Board on appearing in 1st stage CBT.
The aspirants can pay the given amount of the Application fee by three ways – First is Online mode using Credit card/ Debit card/ Netbanking/ UPI, second is by SBI Bank Challan, and last, third is by Post Office Challan.
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is going to conduct the Computer-based test for the posts of JE. JE (IT), DMS and CMA in various Zonal Railways and production units of Indian railways. The recruitment is being held to fill a total of 14033 number of vacancies out of which there are 13034 number of vacancies for the post of Junior Engineer, 49 for the post of JE (IT), 456 number of vacancies for the post of DMS, and 494 vacancies for the post of CMA. The shortlisted candidates for the given posts will be on a pay scale of Rs. 35, 400/- (Level 6 of 7th CTC pay matrix) plus Allowances as admissible.
