The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has notified at the regional website of various RRBs that it will publish the exam city and date information for RRB Group D CBT on October 19, 2018. The exam city and date information are pending for those candidates whose exam date is from October 29, 2018. Earlier, it was said that it will be published on October 18 which has now been extended to tomorrow.
To check the exam city, date and session, the candidates need to visit the regional website of the RRB. Then, click on the link “Exam City and Date information is live”. A Candidate Login will open on clicking the link. Next, the candidates need to enter details such as User ID and Date of Birth. Click on the “Login” button to submit the details. On submitting the details, the RRB Group D CBT Exam City and Date information will be available on the screen.
The exam information will consist of the details such as Registration number, Name of the candidate, Father’s Name, Test City, Test State, Date of Exam. Shift, Duration of the exam, Reporting time, Gate closure time, Exam start time, etc.
The Board has also notified that it will publish the Group D 2018 Admit Card at least 04 days before the test date. The admit card for RRB Group D 2018 will cover all required information, such as Exam Centre details, Roll No. etc. It is mandatory for the candidates to bring the print out of the Admit Card on the day of the examination.
RRB is conducting the First stage, i.e. Computer-based test from September 17 till December 14, 2018. The exam is being conducted in three shifts. On the day of the examination, it is important that candidates must carry the print out of the RRB Group D Admit Card, a passport size photograph and a valid id proof in ORIGINAL. The acceptable ID proofs are voter card, aadhaar card, a printout of e-aadhaar, driving license, pan card, passport, identity card issued by the employer in case the candidate is a govt. employee, school/college/university photo id card.

The Computer-based test is of 90 minutes duration and the test will consist of 100 MCQ type questions. There will be an exception for the PWD candidates, they will get 120 minutes (2 hours) to solve the exam. Questions will be asked from topics like Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness and Current Affairs. The candidates should note that there will be a negative marking of 1/3 marks for every incorrect answer.
