It has been reported that the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will shortly announce the Assistant Loco Pilot Recruitment 2017-18. The official notice for the recruitment is expected to release in due course. However, the news of the recruitment has been confirmed by the recruitment board of Patna region.
It has also been disclosed that for now, the assessment of the vacancies in ALP post in all the zones is going on. As soon as it will be over, the Railway Recruitment Board will release the RRB ALP 2017 Recruitment notification. It is also expected that along with ALP, the recruitment for Grade III Technician will also be disclosed.
RRB has demanded a report on RRB ALP New vacant, in all the divisions. The responsibility for the assessment of the vacant position has been given to General Manager Office, which is still under the process of inspection. The deadline to submit the assessment report is August 25, 2017. When finalized reports from all the division will be prepared, it will be sent to RRB Chennai. The Board will then analyze all the reports and will cross check the submitted requirement.
Last time the vacancy for RRB ALP was announced in 2014. At that time, the board announced the recruitment for more than 18000 positions. As per the notice last year, the candidates eligible to apply for the ALP post must have qualified class 10th examination, along with ITI. The ITI qualification will be acceptable in 14 trades. However, as per the reports, the matric passed candidates, with a diploma in any 4 trades will also be eligible to apply this year.
In all, 2.5 lakh vacancies have been reported in railway. Out of these, almost 1.8 lakh is for the post concerning the safety staff. It is begin expected that among these, at least ten thousand will be for the post of ALP. After the Hirakhand Express accident, TOI published a news where it clearly addresses the problems caused by lack of staff.
“As against a sanctioned strength of 6,398 engineering staff posts, there are only 4,827 filled; the remaining 1,571 are vacant in the ECoR. Again, 67 posts in security , 93 in signal and telecom, and 613 in electrical local running are vacant as per Railway Board data” read the news report by prestigious newspaper.
After much criticism and mishaps, the railway of India has finally decided to address the issues of vacant positions. It is expected that the railway will be opening one of its biggest recruitment this season.
Aspirants, who are planning for the railway job should ensure that they have an Aadhaar Card. It has also been reported by the official sources that this year the recruitment will be linked with the Aadhaar Number. However, the candidates from Jammu Kashmir, Meghalaya, and Assam will be exempted from this, as the Aadhaar Card has not been distributed in these states.
Hence, to apply for RRB ALP Recruitment 2017, the candidates will either have to submit 12 digits Aadhaar Number or 28 digits Aadhaar Registration Number. The Aadhaar Registration Number will be allocated to those candidates who have applied for the Aadhaar Card but have not received it yet.
The Aadhaar details will be used on the exam day to ensure that identity of the candidates. To enter the exam hall, the candidate will first have to go through the biometric test and only if they succeed in it, they will be allowed to enter the exam hall. Check the complete official notice below.
