Karnataka has been severely affected by heavy rainfall and floods that hit the state last month. Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) had to issue a red alert to many of the coastal as well as mainland regions. Nearly 7 lakh had to be evacuated just before Independence Day. Loss of life and property has devastated several families. Needless to say, the state will take a little time to recover from the disaster that struck it.
Even after that the people of the state have been on an edge, and relief as well as recovery work is an ongoing process.
This natural disaster is what has been cited as a reason for postponing exam dates, in the viral notices. Notification to that effect is yet to be available at rguhs.ac.in. The university always publishes exam date related notices under the examination section of the website.
Students are advised to stay tuned to the official website, and contact authorities before taking any action on the basis of notifications they see anywhere besides the official websites.
