The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has published a short notification regarding officer in grade B recruitment 2019 today. India’s central banking institution has advertised 199 vacancies wherein there are 156 vacancies for officer in grade B (DR) general, 20 for officer in grade B (DR) DEPR, and 23 for officer in grade B (DR) DSIM.
RBI Grade B notification in detailed format will be published four days from now, on September 20, at rbi.org.in. Nevertheless, the schedule of exam is fixed and published in today’s short advertisement. As per it, registration for the recruitment will be available from September 21 to October 11. Phase I exam will be held on November 9. Phase II exam for general posts will be held on December 1. Whereas the paper II and III for DEPR, DSIM will take place on December 2.
Hindi as well as English versions of the notification have been released in leading dailies. It goes on to say that the recruitment details will be carried in employment news or rozgar samachar of September 28.
This time there are 20% more vacancies than last time. In the previous RBI Grade B recruitment, there were 127 vacancies of general, 22 for DEPR, and 17 for DSIM; that is in total there were 166 vacancies. Whereas in the year before that, there were a total of 166 vacancies divided into 145 for officers in grade B general, 12 for officers in grade B DEPR, 4 for officers in grade B DSIM.
RBI grade B online application form will be issued at rbi.org.in on Saturday. Bank job aspirants can apply online by filling in their particulars, uploading images, and paying the fee online. Successful application form submission will enable one to download call letter for phase I exam in October-November.
Whereas details of eligibility criteria, selection process will be available on Friday, requirements for the posts are anticipated to remain the same. If there are no changes in the educational qualification requirement, then for the officer in grade B (DR) general post, candidates with bachelors’ degree in any stream, with 60% marks, or 50% in the case of SC, ST, PWBD in graduation as well as in class 12th or diploma or equivalent will be allowed to apply.
Masters degree is required for the officer in grade B (DR) DEPR, DSIM posts. Economics, Econometrics, Quantitative Economics, Mathematical Economics, Integrated Economics Course, Finance are few of the specializations required to join the Department of Economics and Policy Research.
Mathematical Statistics, Mathematical Economics, Econometrics, Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur, Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay are some courses for joining Department of Statistics and Information Management.
RBI usually keeps the age limit between 21 and 30 years of age for officers in grade B recruitment.
The phase I online exam is looked forward to being a single paper for 200 marks. To be done in 2 hours, the paper shall have questions from general awareness, english language, quantitative aptitude, reasoning.
