Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur has published notification for recruitment to the post of Junior Personal Assistant (English). There are 69 vacancies for this post, and online registrations for the same will be starting from August 28, 11.30 am. Interested and eligible government job seekers can apply through the official website hcraj.nic.in, until September 16, 11:59 pm.
The last date to pay application fee will be September 17, 11.59 pm. Rajasthan High Court instructs through its advertisement, for candidates to submit the form at the earliest rather than waiting for the deadline.
Whereas a short notification has been published in leading dailies of the state. The detailed advertisement / notification has been uploaded at hcraj.nic.in. At the same website, online application form will also be released on the scheduled date.
There are 27 backlog, and 42 current vacancies of Junior Personal Assistant in the Rajasthan High Court. The grand total number of vacancies for general candidates is 17, 22 for SC, 16 for ST, 8 for OBC, 2 for MBC, and 4 for EWS. Fresher graduates with a degree in any stream are eligible for JPA vacancies, given that they will be between 18 to 40 years old as on January 1, 2020. Also, applicant should possess basic knowledge of computer application.
The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC, ST, BC, MBC, women candidates. There is no age limit for widow or divorcee women candidate. The appointees will be entitled to a pay scale of Rs 33,800 to Rs 1,06,700 of pay matrix level 10.
The application fee is Rs 400 for SC, ST candidates from Rajasthan. It is Rs 550 for OBC, EBC non creamy layer candidates from Rajasthan. Other candidates including general category, EBC, OBC or EBC creamy layer, other state candidates have to pay Rs 650.
The selection of the candidates for Junior Personal Assistant will include a competitive exam comprising of English shorthand test, and a transcription and typing of dictated passage in English on computer test. The former will be of 8 minutes, with speed of dictation as 90 words per minute, of 50 marks. The latter will be of 1 hour.
A stenography test, that will be referred to as the shorthand speed assessment test will be done. Applicant will get a trial passage of 200-250 words before the actual test.
The transcribed sheets will be evaluated by checking if there is any omission of words or figure / substitution of wrong word or figure / misspelling. Two partial mistakes will be considered as a full mistake. The partial mistakes will be counted if there is error or omission in punctuation / wrong use of small or capital letters / wrong indentation of paragraph. A margin of 5% mistake is allowed, incase if the mistakes / omissions are more than 5 %, the excess number of mistakes over 5 % will be deducted from the total number of words.
