Govind Singh Dotsara, Ministry of Education, Rajasthan has announced 10167 vacancies for the post of Computer Teacher on his official Twitter handle. Out of 10167 vacancies, 9862 vacancies are released for Basic Computer teachers and the remaining 295 vacancies are released for Senior Computer teachers. These vacancies are been released to be filled at the district level and RSSB is the nodal agency for conducting the selection process.
The minister has also notified the syllabus and pay matrix for both posts separately. The candidates who clear the Basic computer teacher exam is going to get paid as per level-8 of 7 CPC and the senior computer teacher will be getting emolument as per pay level -10 of 7th CPC.


As per the syllabus notified, the shall be two papers in the selection process of a Basic and Senior Computer teacher, each accounting for 100 marks. The Paper is going to have 100 questions asked from general knowledge, current affairs of Rajasthan, General Ability subjects. The duration to complete the test shall be 2 hours and there is a prescribed negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.

Paper 2 shall also be having 100 questions for 100 marks however the questions will be asked from Mental Ability, Basic numeracy, Data Interpretation and questions based on computer fundamentals, data processing, programming fundamentals.

As of now. there is no official buzz regarding the release of the application form link for both the posts and it is expected that the same can commence in October 2021. Some youtube channels have reported that the age limit can be in the range of 18 to 40 years with age relaxation valid for reserved category candidates.
The educational qualification is also expected to be having a Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Mathematics etc. Along with this, they should be having an O level certificate from NEILIT. The dates for the online examination will also be notified soon by the conducting body on the official website of RSSB (Rajasthan Staff Selection Board).
This decision of releasing vacancies for the post of Basic/Senior Computer Teacher was announced after the state government of Rajasthan agreed to withdraw the contract based employment notice for the notified posts. The state government has also agreed on the candidates demand of making this job a permanent regular state government job within the state.
