Railway recruitment 2019 is in full swing. On one hand the recruitment with 2,83,328 vacancies is being conducted by the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs). On the other hand, the Railway Recruitment Cells are conducting recruitment for niche groups, that are equally important.
RRC ER has recently published not one or two, but three notifications inviting applicants from suitable candidates. RRC/ER/Cultural Quota/2019-2020 is the notification for recruitment through cultural quota. Then RRC/ER/Scouts & Guides Quota/2019-2020 is the recruitment for scouts and guide quota. And last but not the least is the RRC/ER/Sports Quota/2019-2020 for recruitment for sports persons. These have respectively 2, 10, 21 vacancies.
Through all three notifications, vacancies will be filled in the Eastern Railways. Established in 1952, this railways comprises of complete Bengal Nagpur railway, BNR stretch from Howrah to Vishakhapatnam, Sealdah, Howrah, Asansol and Danapur divisions.
Online application form will be available for cultural quota from November 9, 2019, to December 8, 2019. Written test will be in January or February 2020. Scouts and guides quota recruitment 2019 also has the same dates. The sports quota recruitment in eastern railways, for that, online form will be available from November 2, 2019 to December 1, 2019. Trial date for this recruitment will be in January or February 2020.
First, regarding the cultural quota vacancies, there is 1 vacancy each for instrumental key board, and instrumental tabla. For these posts, either one should have passed 12th with 50% (not needed for SC, ST, ESM, PWD), or 10th pass plus ITI. In addition, you should have either degree or diploma or certificate in respective discipline. Candidates between 18 to 30 years of age can apply, wherein relaxation to the tune of 3 years, 5 years are respectively given to OBC, SC/ST.
In the case of scouts and guides quota, there are 2 group C vacancies, and 8 group D vacancies. For group C posts in level 2, applicants should have passed 12th with at least 50%, again the minimum marks requirement does not apply on SC, ST, ESM, PWD. Or they should have passed 10th with ITI. Whereas class 10th pass candidates can apply for group D. For both types of posts though, scouting / guiding qualification is required. Respective age limits are 18 to 30 years for group C, and 18 to 33 years for group D. Same relaxation as that in cultural quota applies here for SC, ST, OBC.
The sports quota recruitment in eastern railway is for 5 vacancies in category 1 that is group C level 4 / 5 posts, and 16 in category 2 that is group C level 2 technician III posts. Category 1 is for sports including archery (men & women), athletics (women), basketball (men), kabaddi (men), kabaddi (women). Whereas category 2 is for archery (men & women), athletics (women), basketball (men), chess (men), cricket (men), cycling (men), gymnastics (men), hockey (men), kabaddi (men), kabaddi (women), volleyball (women). In each, the specialties are specified in advertisement.
Here the age limit is 18 to 25 years. Required educational qualification are graduation for category 1. For category 2, candidates should be at least 10th pass, however for them then the training period will be 3 years unless they pass ITI in relevant trade, in which case it will be 6 months.
RRC ER cultural quota recruitment 2019 will be on the basis of written test of 50 marks, assessment of talent in applied discipline including practical demo of 35 marks and testimonials of 15 marks. Then RRC ER scouts and guides recruitment 2019 will be on the basis of written test of 60 marks, certificates for 40 marks. And RRC ER sports quota recruitment 2019 will be through trial and assessment of sports achievement, educational qualification. There will be 50 marks for assessment of sports achievements, 40 marks for game skill, physical fitness and coach observations in trial, and 10 marks for educational qualification.
