Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has published two notifications for recruitment 2019. One is for 35 vacancies of Diploma Trainees, and other is for 24 vacancies of Field Supervisors. For both the recruitment, against overall 59 vacancies, online application form can be submitted until December 16, 2019.
For a diploma trainee, a total of 35 vacancies are there. Out of which 30 seats are announced for the electrical field and 5 for the civil. Similarly, the rest 24 are meant for a field engineer, which contains 18 seats for the electrical and 6 for the field engineer in the civil field.
There is a horizontal reservation applicable to the other backward class (OBC), scheduled caste (SC), economically weaker section of society (EWS), Persons with disabilities (PwD) and ex-servicemen.
For diploma trainee electrical, there are 14 seats for UR, 7 for OBC, 6 for SC, 1 for ST, 2 for EWS and 1 for ESM. Distribution for the diploma civil trainee is, 3 for UR, 1 for OBC and 1 for SC.
The vacancy segregation for the field supervisor electrical are 10 seats for UR, 4 for OBC, 3 for SC, 1 for ST, 1 for ESM. For the civil field, there are 4 for UR, 1 for OBC, 1 for SC and 1 for ESM.
As per the information laid down under the notification released by the Powergrid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) the post of the experienced personnel for field supervisor is on a contractual basis.

The interested candidates can know the eligibility criteria through the detailed advertisement that will be available on the website. Last time when PGCIL had invited applications for field engineers, full-time engineering graduates having a minimum of 55% marks could apply against relevant fields. Additionally, having 1 year of experience was also mandatory. Moreover, the upper age limit prescribed by the corporation was 29 years. The fee charged for applying for the field engineer post was Rs. 400.
