Power System Operation Corporation Ltd. (POSOCO) is a govt of India enterprise, under the Ministry of Power. POSOCO shall be recruiting for the position of Executive Trainees (ET) in the disciplines of electrical and computer science on the basis of GATE 2020.
POSOCO recruitment through GATE 2020 notification is available over posoco.in, outlining the requirements, age limit, selection process, et al. Candidates with valid score in the GATE 2020 paper electrical engineering (EE) will be eligible for ET electrical. Whereas computer science and information technology (CS) paper qualifiers can go for ET Computer Science.
Required educational qualification for POSOCO recruitment is to have graduated or graduating with a BE or B.Tech or B.Sc (Engineering) degree in any of the branches namely Electrical, Electrical (Power), Electrical and Electronics, Power Systems Engineering, Power Engineering (Electrical), Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology. Provided they qualify with a minimum of 65% of marks in the qualifying degree exam. The candidates should have been born on or after 1st of August, 1992, to be 28 years as on 31st of July, 2020.
The OBC (NCL) candidates are given an upper age relaxation of 3 years, whereas SC/ST candidates have a 5-year age relaxation and 10 years for those under PwD category.
Application process for the recruitment shall begin, after IIT Delhi announces result of GATE. All applicants except SC / ST / PWD / ExS need to pay online, Rs 500 as fees for the application process.
The selection process will take into account GATE 2020 score, group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI). First of all, candidates who apply with a valid GATE score in required subjects will be shortlisted for GD, PI on the basis of their normalized marks out of 100.
While there is no qualifying marks for group discussion round, POSOCO has determined qualifying percentage in the personal interview round. The Unreserved category candidates will need to score 40% in the interview round to be considered for final selection, whereas those belonging to EWS category need a score of 40% and 30% for those from OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/PwD.
The PSU has also formulated the weightage of marks in each round for the calculation of final score for empanelment. According to the calculation, 85% of GATE 2020 score, 3% of Group Discussion marks and 12% of Personal Interview marks will be considered for the final empanelment score.
The selected candidates will be remunerated with a pay scale of Rs 60,000-1,80,000 besides the other benefits and allowances. Moreover, the candidates will also be required to sign a service agreement bond of Rs. 1,00,000 (Rs 50,000 for SC/ST/PwD) against serving the organisation for a minimum of three years.
Candidates will have the option to choose Hindi language for their GD and PI round.
The candidates who are currently working in Government organisation/PSUs are required to produce a ‘No Objection Certificate’ at the time of interview.
