Odisha Board of Secondary Education has published a short notification for conducting OTET 2019. State level teacher eligibility test, Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2019, will be held by BSEO. The notification was much awaited by all teaching aspirants of the state.
Application form of OTET 2019 will be released on July 15, 2019. The form fill up process shall be completely online at bseodisha.nic.in. Link to apply will be available until 5 PM of July 26, 2019. However registration fee can be paid until 4 PM of July 29, 2019.

BSEO had previously accepted applications for OTET 2018 which was scheduled to be held on January 16, 2019. However, it was reported that the paper had leaked prior to exam. As a result, the board had to cancel the exam. Fresh applicants can apply, as well as those who had applied last time will also have to apply again.
Those who had applied for OTET 2018 and their roll numbers were generated also have to apply again. Without new registration, they will not be allowed to appear in exam. However, such candidates do not have to pay fee again; they can login with roll number and date of birth to fill up the form.
An applicant can apply for either paper 1 or paper 2, or both. It is the responsibility of applicant to check eligibility qualifications prior to applying though. Those who will apply for both papers have to fill separate application forms for paper 1 and paper 2, and pay fee separately.
Whereas last time details of OTET were hosted at bseodisha.ac.in, this time they are made available at bseodisha.nic.in. Applicants can check step by step guide for registration, guidelines, eligibility and qualifying criteria, syllabus and all important details at bseodisha.nic.in.
Since this is a fresh exam, fresh admit cards will also be generated by BSEO at bseodisha.nic.in around one week prior to exam. Candidates will have to download them using their login credentials generated during registration.
OTET 2019 exam date will be announced in some time. Along with it, date for downloading admit cards will also be notified.
OTET 2019 is the state level teacher eligibility test. It is conducted to determine eligibility of teaching aspirants to teach classes I to VIII. It is compulsory for candidates to qualify it in order to apply for teaching jobs in the state.
Board of Secondary Education Odisha, Cuttack, was formed under Odisha Education Act 1953. It is responsible for secondary education in the state. State schools, private schools and other institutions are affiliated to BSEO. Various exams it looks after are OTET, HSC, CT, CPED, Prathama, Madhyama, NRTS.
