OSSTET 2019 Notification Released; Application Form Submission Begins Today At 12 Noon, Check Details Here

Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2019-2020 is hereby announced.

Board of Secondary Education Odisha has published the notification for Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2019. Registration for the exam will remain open for a total of 10 days this month. Education teachers ie Trained Graduate Teachers in science / arts, hindi / classical teacher (sanskrit / urdu / telugu) will apply as category I. And category II will be for physical education teacher.

The board will release application form at 12 noon today. Interested and eligible candidates can register and fill the application form from then to December 16, 2019. On the last date, registration facility will be available until midnight. Though OSSTET notification 2019 has been published at bseodisha.nic.in, the online application form will be released today at osstet.co.in. 

Besides the notification, BSE Odisha is providing step by step instructions to apply online, guidelines containing applicability, eligibility, qualifying criteria, syllabus, exam pattern, and continuity certificate at bseodisha.nic.in. 

As of now, OSSTET exam date has not been announced. The exam is expected to be held in 2020. 

For the previous secondary teacher eligibility test of Odisha, notification was released on September 10, applications were accepted from then to September 19. Then admit card was released on September 27, and exam was held on October 5. In the same month, on October 23, answer key was released. Three months after the exam, result was announced on January 7. 

If a similar timeline is followed this year, then OSSTET 2019-2020 admit card could be released by the end of the month. Then exam is most likely going to be held in January 2020, and result could be out in March or April 2020.

The scheme of examination for OSSTET has already been published. As per it, for category I, education teachers, there will be one type of paper. The paper I will have three parts A, B, C. part A will have section I and II, Odisha and English respectively with 20 questions of 20 marks each. Part B will have section III. this section will differ for TGT (Arts), TGT (Science) PCM, TGT (Science) CBZ, Classical Teacher (Sanskrit), Hindi Teacher, Classical Teacher(Telugu), and Classical Teacher (Urdu). However for all teachers, this section will be of 60 marks. Then part C will be section IV with 50 questions of 50 marks. 

Category II will be physical education teacher. Paper II will have part A with section I and II same as paper I. Part B, section III will have contents of C.P Ed. course with 60 questions of 60 makrs. Then part C, section IV will again be the same as that of paper I. 

Candidates can go to bseodisha.nic.in, click “OSSTET-2019” to get five documents namely “OSSTET 2019 form fill-up notification”, “guidelines for conduct of OSSTET”, “continue certificate”, “instructions to ph candidate”, “scheme of exam for OSSTET (annexure-ii)”.

The pass certificate of this exam will remain valid until candidate reaches the upper age limit that is laid down for teacher recruitment in the state.
