A little short of three years after first issuing the recruitment advertisement, Odisha Staff Selection Commission will finally conduct the Combined Police Service Examination, prelims, on September 8, 2019. The commission has issued CPSE admit card 2016 online. Candidates can download the same through ossc.gov.in.
To download the admit card for CPSE recruitment exam, visit ossc.gov.in and click on the online application link. Now scroll down to Combined Police Service Examination row for the year 2016 recruitment, and click on login link. Then enter user ID, password to login. Once logged in, click on the hall ticket button and then the download button to download the hall ticket.

The exam will be held on Sunday from 10.30 am to 12 noon. It will be a 100 marks exam with objective type questions on general awareness. Candidates will be provided with OMR sheets to mark their answers. OSSC has decided to hold the exam centers in Bhubaneswar, Balasore, Sambalpur, Berhampur.
Although the CPSE exam date notification, which was published on August 8 does not mention negative marking. The initial recruitment notification released in the year 2016 says that there will be negative marking to the tune of 0.25 per incorrect answer in the preliminary exam.
Candidates who have forgotten user ID or password for OSSC CPSE recruitment, can click on the forgot user ID / Password button on login page. Then they can enter class 10th roll number, and mobile number, to get them. Then they can login to download admit card.
As per official records on the OSSC website, 25,945 candidates had applied for the recruitment. This is the second largest number of applicants for an OSSC recruitment after Junior Assistant and Junior Clerk recruitment of 2016, for which, 90,586 candidates had applied. Another recruitment in Odisha by the commission for which an equally large number, 22,961 candidates had applied was the Soil Conservation Extension Worker recruitment of 2017.
The OSSC CPSE 2016 recruitment is for 134 vacancies of Sub Inspector. This includes 67 vacancies for unreserved candidates, 30 for ST, 22 for SC, and 15 for SEBC. Candidates will be appointed at a consolidated pay comprising of initial pay in the scale of Rs 9,300 to Rs 34,800 and grade pay Rs 4,200.
As per the advt 4170 the selection of Sub Inspectors through this recruitment comprises of five components. First is a preliminary exam as described above. Second is physical measurement and physical test. Then comes a main written exam. Fourth is weightage of marks. And fifth and last would be a viva voce and psychological test. They are respectively of 100, none, 300, 15, and 30 marks.
Here, mains exam for SI will consist of three papers in one sitting. Whereas weightage of marks means maximum 15 marks for NCC B and C certificate, maximum 15 marks for sports achievements such as winning medals in state or national or international level, maximum 10 marks for degree or diploma in fire engineering for the post of station officer in fire service.
OSSC JE recruitment 2019 is an ongoing recruitment of the commission. Application form for 257 vacancies of Junior Engineer Civil, and 106 vacancies of Junior Engineer Mechanical will close on September 29, 2019. A total of 7,157 applications have already been received for them.
