The JEE Main 2019 Application Form was released by National Testing Agency (NTA) on February 08, 2019. The last date to submit the JEE Main Application Form is March 07, 2019. The registration process for JEE Main 2019 April exam will end at 11:50 PM. NTA is conducting JEE Main II exam between April 07 to 20, 2019.
The application fee for JEE Main April 2019 exam for Paper 1 or Paper 2 is Rs. 500 for General/ OBC category candidates, and Rs. 250 for SC / ST / PWD / Transgender / Female of All Category. Students who wish to apply for Paper 1 and Paper 2 need to pay an application fee of Rs. 900 in case of General/ OBC category, and Rs. 450 for SC / ST / PWD / Transgender / Female of all category. The aspirants have to pay the Application Fee by Online mode using Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or by E-Challan (SBI).
One of the common mistakes which a candidate makes while filling in details in the JEE Main 2019 Application Form is at the time of uploading the image. The students should upload the images as per the instructions and specifications given by the exam conducting body. Aspirants have to upload a scanned image of their passport size photograph and signature.
The photograph to be uploaded by the candidate should be a colored photograph. Make sure there is no red-eye or glare in the photo and that the photo is taken against a white background. Selfie and Polaroid photos are not acceptable. For the signature, it should be done in running handwriting. Signature done and uploaded in CAPITAL LETTERS are not acceptable.
It is also advised to the candidates to keep at least 6-8 copies of the photograph which they are uploading in the JEE Main 2019 Application Form. This is because the student may need it in the future and it is better to keep multiple copies of it.
Recently NTA published a notification regarding the Duplicate Applications being submitted by the candidates. As per the notice, the students have to submit only one application, more than one application i.e. multiple application forms submitted by a Candidate will be rejected.
Moreover, if after the final submission of the JEE Main Application Form, the candidate realizes that they have made a mistake in the form, NTA provides them with an opportunity for editing details. The window for JEE Main 2019 Form Correction will open from March 11, 2019. For editing details, the candidates need to log in by entering their Application Number and Password. The candidates can edit all the details in the JEE Main 2019 Application Form except for the Test centers.
The facility for Application form correction will be available until March 15, 2019. Hence, the candidates need to edit/ modify details in the JEE Main 2019 form as per the schedule only. Now, since there are two types of students applying for JEE Main exam – New candidates (applying for JEE Main April exam) and the other are JEE (Main) January 2019 Candidates.
The April session candidates can edit all the details except for the Test centers, Photograph, and Signature. Whereas, the January session candidates cannot edit the details which were mentioned in their scorecard such as their Name, Mother’s name, Father’s name, Category, PwD Status, Gender, Date of Birth, State code of Eligibility
