Common Mistakes to Avoid in NEET 2019 Application Form

In a hurry, candidates seem to commit some mistakes that must be avoided. We have listed some common mistakes that are committed in hurry, that one must avoid:

Selecting the state of eligibility: This is one of the most important part of the application form. This is important for 15% All India Quota. This detail cannot be edited once submitted. Thus, it is very important to select the state of eligibility correctly. The state of eligibility is the state from where the candidates have completed their class 12 exam.

Uploading the documents: The candidates have to keep in mind that the photograph and signature that are to be uploaded must be as per the specification, the forms can be rejected if the photo and signature are not as per specification. Candidates must upload a photo which is passport size, with a clear solid background and without any caps, goggles, scarf, etc. Similarly, the signature must be in running hands in clean white paper with a black or blue pen. The size of the photo and signature must be as per the guidelines that are – photo size must be 10 Kb to 200 Kb and in JPEG/JPG format. Also, the signature must be in JPEG/JPG format and in the size range of 4Kb to 30Kb.

There are scenarios, where the candidates make the payment and the fee is deducted from their account but the confirmation page is not generated. At such times the candidate must wait for a day. The delay is technical in such cases. The confirmation page is generated once the process is complete.

Submitting the application fee: The application fee must be paid within the allowed time period, as the application form will not be submitted unless the payment is made successfully. The application fee is Rs. 1400 for the general category students, while those for SC/ST/OBC candidates, it is Rs. 750.
