On the official website, the careers section is where the notification and application form for this recruitment is anticipated to be released. The page at present talks about the evolution of the corporation, and general selection process of different posts.
Nwkrtc.in careers page says that KSRTC directly recruits for officers class 2 and supervisoru staff as that cadre is managed by the state road transport corporation. There are no interviews for those posts, and the marks obtained in CAT exam are used to determine merit of candidates, subject to fulfillment of basic educational qualifications.
For class 3 non supervisory as well as class 4 posts that include conductor, junior assistant cum typist, security guards, NWKRTC only does the hiring process. Selections to these posts are on the basis of marks secured by candidates in the qualifying exam, provided they satisfy educational qualifications.
Driver and driver cum conductor posts are most critical for the organization as they directly impact the safety and security of passengers, which is the primary responsibility of the corporation. Thus for driver recruitment, the organization holds driver tests, checks physical standards of candidates before hiring them.
Usually, driving tests comprise of 2 separate tests of 25 marks each and those who get less than 25 out of 50 marks in total are not selected. Automated driving trade test has been adopted by NWKRTC to hold trade tests electronically, which are ultimately more transparent and fool proof to judge the capabilities of a driver.
