Applications are invited in the offline mode for the various post under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. 17 vacancies have been announced for filling the various post for the industrial establishment at three different locations. One is nuclear fuel complex, Hyderabad other is zirconium complex, Tamil Nadu and the last is a greenfield project of nuclear fuel complex, Kota Rajasthan.
1 vacancy each for scientific officer ‘C’ post and station officer ‘A’ is announced. For sub-officer ‘B’ there are 4 and the same for the post of driver-cum-pump operator-cum-fireman is 11.
Out of the 4 vacancies for sub-officer B, 1 is for OBC, 2 is for UR and 1 is for EWS. Similarly, seats are segregated as 2 for SC, 1 for OBC, 3 for EWS and 5 for UR for the post of driver-cum-pump operator-cum-fireman.
Candidates willing to apply for the post of station officer ‘A’ and sub-officer ‘B’ must ensure that their age is below or upto 40 years. The age limit for the scientific officer ‘C’ is 35 years and the same for the post for driver-cum-pump operator-cum-fireman is 27 years.
Nuclear fuel complex requires that to be a scientific officer, one must have MBBS with 1 year of relevant experience. To be a station officer applicant should be a graduate from a fire institute having a valid driving license. A candidate should be SSC qualified and have done s sub officer’s course. For the multi-tasker post, he or she should be a 12th passed out with 50% marks.

Selected candidates will be hired on a set pay scale which is Rs. 56,000 for the scientific officer ‘C’, under level 10 pay matrix. Rs.47,600 for the station officer ‘A’, under level 8 pay matrix. Rs. 35,400 for sub-officer ‘B’ under level 6 pay matrix and Rs. 21,700 for driver-operator-fireman post under level 3 pay matrix.
The nuclear fuel complex got established in 1971 as an industrial unit of Department of Atomic Energy. It supplies nuclear fuel bundles, reactor core components, alloy structural components for all 14 operating atomic power reactors in India.
