With the conclusion of exam students have been looking for NTSE answer key 2019-2020. Whereas officially the answer key may or may not be released, they are well available unofficially already. Coaching centre Allen has released the answer key of NTSE 2019 level 1 at its website allen.ac.in.

Students of the state who have to check the answer keys, can go to allen.ac.in. There, they have to click “NTSE 2020 (Stage 1) Answer Key & Paper Solutions are now available”, a link that is available under the tab called important notification.

The next page contains a table with state wise MAT answer key and SAT answer key. For the uninitiated, MAT and SAT are the two papers of NTSE. Each contains 100 multiple choice questions of as many marks. Also, each was of 2 hours.

Coming back to the answer keys. NTSE UP answer key 2019-2020 can be accessed by clicking the download link against Uttar Pradesh on the NTSE answer keys page of Allen. The answer keys have been provided in the form of a pdf file containing question number and correct answer option. They are numbered 1 through 100. If in any question, teachers of Allen have concluded that no option was correct, then there they have mentioned NA.

Whereas NTSE 2019 answer key by Allen does not hold a stand as official answer key. Nevertheless it is helpful for students who have to now wait two to three months to know NTSE results; per NCERT, states need to declare results in January or February 2020.

In order to predict score on the basis of answer key, students can match their answers against it first. Then, they can give themselves one mark per correct question. There is, on a positive note, no negative marking at all for incorrect answer. Also for unattempted questions there is no negative marking.

A score of 40% in each paper MAT and SAT is necessary for general and OBC candidates, and 32% for SC and ST. The state’s NTSE exam conducting body will first segregate those with the qualifying marks. Then arrange them in order of merit as per total MAT and SAT scores. Then the top students on the basis of merit will be declared as qualified as per the UP NTSE result 2019-2020. Students who qualify in level 1 or stage 1, the chosen 1408, can then attend NCERT NTSE 2020 on May 10, 2020.
