National Technical Research Organisation, NTRO will soon commence the recruitment for the post of Technician A for filling 71 vacancies. The form will start from December 2, 2019, and can be submitted by December 23, 2019, till 10:00 AM. Out of the total vacancies, NTRO has reservations of seats for the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC) and Economically Weaker Section of Society (EWS) and some for the Persons with Disabilities (PwD).
Category wise the there are 31 seats for UR, 9 for SC, 5 for ST, 19 for OBC, 7 for EWS and 3 additional seats reserved for the PwD category. Persons with Disabilities who fall under the category of OL- One Leg Affected and HH- Hearing Handicapped will get reservation.
National Technical Research Organisation requires that to be eligible for the post of Technician A, one must be 10th class pass, possess a certificate of Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in the relevant discipline. Along with this, they must have a working knowledge of computer. Apart from the educational criteria, applicants must also adhere to the age limit as prescribed by the NTRO. Before applying they must check their age lies in the age group of 18 to 27 years. The cut-off date for the evaluation of criteria is December 23, 2019.
Details regarding the post details, instructions, advertisement, online application, examination schedule and other important guidelines have already been released on the official website of NTRO. However, there are two websites of the corporation; one is ntrorectt.in and another is ntro.gov.in.

Adhering to the eligibility criteria, NTRO will activate the online application link from December 2, 2019, and will remain active till December 23, 2019. Eligible candidates would be able to apply online at ntrorectt.in using their active email id and phone number.
As per the recruitment notice, applicants have to upload the scanned copies of their photograph, signature, 10th certificate, caste certificate, income certificate for the EWS category and disability certificate.
For the selection procedure, NTRO will select the candidates for the computer-based examination on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in the industrial training as mentioned in the form. The exam will be for 2 hours having 400 multiple-choice questions. The paper will follow a negative marking on a set scale of -1 for every wrong answer marked.
As per the date announced, the computer-based examination is likely to be conducted in the month of January 2020 or February 2020.
Those who will qualify the written examination may be called for the next round of selection, the skill test. NTRO in due course of time will decide whether or not to conduct the skill test for the candidates. As the instruction laid down under the recruitment notice, merely passing the test will not grant the position until and unless he/she will be declared FIT in the medical examination.
For the final selection of the candidates, NTRO will prepare a merit list according to the marks obtained by the candidate in the written test. If it may happen the case of a tie, then NTRO will adopt the tie-breaking criteria which take into consideration the percentage marks obtained in ITI, then the date of birth and lastly the alphabetical order of names.
