National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the registration window from today, November 4, 2019 to November 8, 2019 for JEE Main 2020, IIFT 2020, UGC NET Dec 2019, and CSIR NET Dec 2019 only for Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh candidates.
The agency had released a notification at the end of last month about the same. As per it, students from these places are getting another chance to apply due to the request from Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department, Srinagar & Jammu.
Students from Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh who wish to appear in the upcoming engineering entrance exam JEE Main Jan 2020, MBA entrance exam IIFT 2020, assistant professor and fellowship eligibility tests UGC NET 2019, CSIR NET Dec 2019, should thus avail this chance and submit their registrations. Application forms are available online for these exams respectively at jeemain.nta.nic.in, iift.nta.nic.in, ugcnet.nta.nic.in, csirnet.nta.nic.in.
The steps to apply are as before. First step is to apply for online registration. Then second step is to fill the online application form. Followed by third step of uploading photograph and signature. And finally the fourth step is to pay examination fee.
After this minor change in schedule, rest of the events shall proceed as per their dates in the respective information bulletins.
To start with, UGC NET 2019 admit card will be available for download from November 9, 2019. The exam is scheduled from December 2, 2019 to December 6, 2019.
Although the CSIR NET 2019 exam is later, on December 15, 2019. Its admit card will be available with UGC NET, on November 9, 2019.
Candidates can download IIFT 2020 admit card from November 11, 2019. The exam is on a single day, December 12, 2019.
The last events are for JEE Main 2020 admit card will be available from December 6, 2019. Exam dates are from January 6, 2020 to January 11, 2020.
Simultaneously, NTA is organizing CMAT 2020 and GPAT 2020. Registration for both are open at the moment. Deadline to apply for both is November 30, 2019. The former is an MBA entrance exam, and the latter an entrance exam for post graduation in pharmacy.
Whereas the reason provided by NTA regarding re-opening of application forms is the request from concerned officials. No in-depth explanation behind the same has been provided. It may also be pointed out here that only for Jammu Kashmir, GATE 2020 application has also been re-opened. It was re-opened on October 30, 2019, and will be closing on November 8, 2019.
On the official websites of JEE Main and IIFT exams, login links to remove image discrepancy are still available. However they are no longer there on the websites of UGC NET and CSIR NET. As far as the exams for which registrations were opened (not re-opened) this month only, remove image discrepancies links are yet to be made live.
National Testing Agency is at the helm of more than a dozen entrance exams. Other than the ongoing ones, it will also conduct NEET for medical admissions, DUET for DU admissions, ICAR exams for AU admissions, JNUEE for JNU admissions, IGNOU MBA B.Ed for admissions to the open university, and AIAPGET for AYUSH admissions.
