National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 application form today, on December 2, 2019 at 5:15 PM. The premier testing agency had announced yesterday that it will start registrations today at 4 PM. Now, candidates can apply online until the last date, December 31, 2019.
On the last date, registration will be deactivated at 11:50 pm.

Otherwise, candidates may also choose to go to ntaneet.nic.in first and then either click “fill application form” under the main content, or “new registration” under current events.
Doing so opens up a page with important details of form filling and proceeding from there leads to the first page of registration. Candidates need to enter personal, communication, educational, exam related details during registration and in online form, and upload documents asked for.
Documents required to be uploaded in the form are passport size photograph, postcard size photograph, left hand thumb impression, signature, and class X passing certificate. Their sizes should be 10-200 kb, 50-300kb, 10-50 kb, 4-30 kb, 100-400 kb respectively.
The last step is to pay application fee and generate confirmation page. Application form fees are Rs 1500 for general category candidates. It is Rs 1400 for general-EWS, OBC. And it is Rs 800 for SC, ST, PWD, and transgender. Fee can be paid using a credit card, debit card, net banking, UPI.
As per the norms of National Medical Commission, NEET UG is now the only medical entrance exam in India. Admission to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) will also be on the basis of this exam.
Last year 15,19,375 candidates had applied for NTA NEET, and this time an even higher number of registrations are expected due to the cancellation of AIIMS and JIPMER.
NTA will conduct NEET 2020 on May 3, 2020, in 155 examination cities in India. It will be a pen and paper mode test of 180 minutes with 180 questions of 720 marks. All questions will be multiple choice type, divided into three sections physics, chemistry, biology, where these sections will respectively have 45, 45, and 90 questions. Four (4) marks will be awarded for correct answer, and one (1) mark will be deducted for incorrect answer.
Only such candidates who score marks equal to or more than the cut off corresponding to 50th percentile for general and general EWS, 40th percentile for SC, ST, OBC, 45th percentile for UR-PWD, EWS-PWD, and 40th percentile again for SC-PWD, ST-PWD, OBC-PWD candidates, will be declared as qualified for undergraduate medical courses admissions.
Also, in order to be eligible for UG medical admissions, candidates should have passed physics, chemistry, biology / biotechnology, english individually and must have obtained at least 50% marks taken together in PCB.
NTA NEET 2020 application form can also be filled at the 2.4 lakh common services centres all across India, against a nominal fee.
