After so much chaos and confusions regarding JEE Main 2019 and NEET 2019, HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar has cleared the air at a press conference. The meet was held on July 07, 2019. In it, he has clarified that NTA will conduct Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test twice in 2019.

JEE Main 2019 will be held in the month of January 2019 and then in April 2019. Whereas, NEET will be conducted in February and May 2019. Dr. Amit Gupta, an active medical expert who has been vouching for the MBBS / BDS aspirants, has even uploaded date for NEET on his twitter page. As per him, the exam will be held online, between February 3 to 17, and May 12 to 26, 2018.

He also disclosed that the application forms for NEET February 2019 will be available from October 01 to 31, 2018. The online registration for NEET May 2019 will begin in the 2nd week of March 2019. You can check his tweet from below.Initially, NTA will take charge of JEE Main 2019, NEET 2019, UGC NET 2019, CMAT and CPAT 2019. JEE Main and NEET will be conducted twice a year in computer-based mode only. There will be no change in exam pattern and syllabus for the same.

National Testing Agency (NTA) is a major reform says Prakash Javadekar and he says it is student-friendly, accountable, leak-proof, safe and transparent.

NTA 2018 Official Website: It seems like that the official website of NTA has been released and it is http://www.nta.ac.in.

Changes: Apart from the mode of the examination from handwritten to computer-based, nothing else will change. The exam pattern, syllabus, language and examination fee will remain the same.

How students will be able to take the examination?: Candidates can appear once in January or February. Or they can appear both the times in January and April. In case they appear both the times, the best of the two score will be considered. Similarly, is the scenario with NEET, which will be held in February and May.

Result declaration will be easier and faster: As the examination will be online only, the results will be evaluated much faster and declared much before.

Centres will be announced much earlier: The examination centre will be announced much earlier and the candidates will be able to go to the centre and practise for the online mode of examination if they do not have the mode to do so at their homes. This will be free of charge. Or candidates can download practise session at their homes form the website of NTA.

Exams will be in multiple session: Candidates will be able to select their preferable date of giving the exam out of the available dates. Thus candidates can now be able to choose their date of giving the examination and not only the exam centre.

Prakash Javadekar has stressed on this point that no other changes apart from the mode of examination and is introduced by NTA. Thus candidates can prepare as per the old pattern and syllabus. The website of NTA will start functioning soon, in 2-3 days, and will have the dates of the examination.

Untill this year, JEE Main and NEET were conducted by CBSE, once a year and in offline mode only. With NTA, NEET 2019 and JEE Main 2019 will be conducted twice a year and in online mode only. As the students taking the online mode of examination is increasing over the years this will bring reform and will increase the level of the examination in India to international standards, indicates HRD minister Prakash Javadekar.

What do you think about the JEE Main and NEET exam to be held in Jan-Apr and Feb-May 2019? Is it a right move to conduct the examination soon or will create trouble for the students. Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
