GMAC has started registration for NMAT 2018 on July 03, 2018. The Application Forms are available until October 03, 2018. This year it is expected that the number of registration will cross over 90,000 as compared to 88,454 in the year 2017. The number of test takers for NMAT is increasing year after year, this shows the popularity of NMAT among MBA aspirants. Though it is less in number if we compare it with CAT, for which around 2 Lakhs students apply every year.

Candidates will need to fill the NMAT form, pay fees and schedule the test appointment within the last date of registration. In the exam, candidates can schedule the test appointment date only after paying the application fees. Students scheduling the exam early able to select the test dates according to their choice.
The scheduling of NMAT will continue until October 16, 2018. The exam conducting body also opens late registration window for 10 days with an additional fees Rs 500/- over actual fee of Rs 2000/-(Taxes Excluded). Students will also able to reschedule the exam dates if needed. For this, he/she has paid Rs 1100/- and applicable taxes. Though rescheduling can be done atleast three days before the scheduled dates only. If a candidate does not appear for the test then it will be considered a now show and do count as an attempt by the exam conducting body.

When the examination window starts from October 04, 2018, it will continue for 75 days. In the available examination period, candidates can appear for the test three times. It includes first attempt and two retakes(including No shows). Candidates can apply for retake within three days after the conduction of exam. Moreover, candidates must keep a gap of atleast 15 days between the subsequent attempts. Multiple attempts at NMAT increase the chances of a candidate to improve its chances to get his/her dream b-schools. Only the best of three scores will be sent to the schools selected by the students.
The Scorecard of the students will release from time to time as the exam takes place in the 75 days tets window. Generally, it takes 15 days for the scorecard to available at NMAT student dashboard. The NMAT by GMAC will intimate about the scorecard on the registered email-id only. The final result along with the cut off will be available to candidates in the month of January 2019. Finally, the written ability test or group discussion, a personal interview will take place for the selected students. The academic session 2019-21 will start in June next year.
