NID Result 2019 to be Announced Today for BDes and GDPD at 4 PM; Know How to Check Your Result

NID DAT Prelims 2019 Result for BDes and GDPD to be Announced Today at 4 PM

The National Institute of Design is going to announce the NID DAT 2019 Prelims result for BDes and GDPD. The result is going to be announced on March 19, 2019. The Institute will publish the result for NID DAT Prelims 2019 for BDes and GDPD today at 4 PM on the official website, admissions.nid.edu.

The candidates will be able to check their DAT Prelims result for BDes and GDPD by visiting the official website of the Institute. To check the result online, the aspirants need to log in by entering their Email ID and Date of Birth. Submit the login details, after which the candidates will be able to check their result.

On the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates in the Prelims exam, a separate merit lists shall be prepared for each category (OPEN, OBC-NCL, SC, ST & PwD). The result will consist of personal details of the candidate, marks obtained in the test, marks obtained in each section, result status, etc. The candidates need to obtain minimum cut off marks in order to pass the test.

On the basis of the candidate’s performance in the DAT Prelims exam, the qualifiers of the entrance test will be then eligible to appear for DAT Mains exam. The shortlisted candidates will be then issued an admit card for NID DAT Mains exam for BDes and GDPD on May 01, 2019. The candidates will be able to download their admit card by online mode only. The Institute will not send the hard copy of the result or admit card to the candidate’s individually by post.

The entrance exam for NID DAT Mains 2019 for BDes and GDPD is scheduled to be conducted on May 12 or 19, 2019. The exact dates of DAT Mains 2019 will be mentioned in the Admit Card.

There are a total of 100 number of seats offered for admission in the BDes programme. Furthermore, the Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD) is offered NID Vijayawada and NID Kurukshetra. The areas of specialisation for GDPD are Industrial Design, Communication Design, Textile & Apparel Design. There are a total of 60 number of seats each at NID Vijayawada and Kurukshetra which are offered for admission to GDPD programme.

After the candidates check their result and they are not satisfied with it, the Institute allows them to submit the request for rechecking of answer booklet of the DAT Prelims. The candidates can submit the request by online mode only. The candidates should note that the rechecking will be restricted to Whether all the answers have been marked, whether there has been any mistake in the the totaling of marks for each question in Part II of answer booklet and transferring the marks correctly onto the cover page of the answer booklet. If there will be any revision of marks after the re-checking, in such a case, an email will be sent to the candidate’s registered email id.

National Institute of Design (NID) conducted the DAT Prelims 2019 for BDes and GDPD on January 06, 2019. DAT Prelims conducted by the Institute is a University level entrance exam. The admission to the candidates is offered in two stages – First is the DAT Prelims exam and the second stage is DAT Mains exam.
