National Investigation Agency, Ministry of Home Affairs is inviting applications to fill vacancies in the positions of accountant, assistant and stenographer grade 1. Eligible candidates can apply in offline mode against a total of 12 vacancies.
Post wise the vacancy distribution is such that there is 1 vacancy for accountant, 5 for assistant and the rest 6 are for the stenographer grade 1 posts.
For the post of the accountant, NIA requires graduates who have passed the Subordinate Accounts Service (SAS) examination to apply. Whereas for stenographer grade 1 post, one should be a graduate possessing computer proficiency with the capability of typing 80 words per minute. Assistant position is open for candidates with a bachelor’s degree and proficiency in computers.

NIA recruitment 2019 application form is available for download at nia.gov.in. To get it, candidates need to go to nia.gov.in, select the “recruitment and training tab”. A new window opens. Under that, select the “notices” tab. Soon after selecting the tab, list of recruitment opens. Choose the ongoing recruitment and open it. One can find the offline form proforma attached to the advertisement published.
After filling the form, NIA has asked prospective job seekers to send the application form to “The SP(Adm), NIA HQ, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi- 110003” (details should be verified against the notification) so as to reach the address within one month of the release of notification.
Selected candidates for post of the accountant, stenographer grade 1 and assistant will get a salary ranging in between Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400, under level 6 pay matrix by the National Investigation Agency.
As per the guidelines of the recruitment, place of posting of an accountant will be Guwahati. Person in an assistant post can be posted either in Delhi, Guhawati and Chnadigarh. Moreover, candidates posting for the position of a stenographer grade 1 will be in cities like Hyderabad, Mumbai and Kochi.

National Investigation Agency, NIA started in the year 2008 on December 31 for investigation of offences related to terrorism and certain other acts and activities which is of national safety.
