National Board of Education (NBE) has released the notification for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduation (NEET PG) 2020 in print. As per it, NEET PG 2020 application form will be available from today that is November 1, 2019 to November 22, 2019. Interested and eligible candidates fill the online application form at nbe.edu.in.
NEET PG 2020 is the eligibility cum ranking exam for admission to MD, MS, PG diploma programs for academic session 2020-21. One of the handful of medical entrance exams in the country, and the only one at national level, the NEET PG is taken by nearly 1.5 lakh candidates every year. And as many are now waiting for the website nbe.edu.in to be up and running again (at the time of publishing this news the site has been down since a few hours) so that they can apply for the exam.
The notice states, “National Board of Examinations has been notified by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India to conduct NEET PG 2020 on an All India basis.”
Exam date is January 05, 2020. The national level PG medical entrance exam will be held in a single session. And the result declaration date is by January 31, 2020.
Also, the fee is available. To submit the application form in the prescribed format, general and OBC candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 3750 and the SC, ST, PWD, and PH candidates have to pay Rs 2750. The mode of payment is also online only via credit/debit card or net banking facility.
The application process includes completing the registration to get the User ID and password, filling the application form and uploading of th images, selecting the test cities for appearing in the exam and finally paying the application fee.
After the application form is completed with payment, candidates have to take a print out of the filled application form with transaction ID printed on it, for reference purposes.
Until the last year, NBE did not allow any changes in the data submitted via the application form once the forms were submitted with payment of the fee. Therefore this year too, the candidates must make sure to review their application form before submitting it, as the window for correction might not be available.
Interested candidates who wish to compete in NEET PG 2020, have to fulfill the eligibility norms to be able to apply for the exam. The eligibility criteria for NEET PG 2020 dictates that candidates must have an MBBS degree or MBBS pass certificate from a Medical College that is recognised by Medical Council Act. Also the candidates must complete 1 year of Internship by March 31, 2020.
NEET PG 2020 is being held for admission in MD/MS and PG diploma courses. On the basis of its scores, 50% all India quota seats are filled via MCC counselling, whereas, remaining seats are filled in state level counselling. NBE will conduct the exam as a computer based test.
