National Board of Examinations will declare the result of NEET MDS 2021 exam tomorrow. As per the official information bulletin, the declaration of results is supposed to be by December 31, 2020. Though this means that there are equal chances of the announcement to happen today; however NBE is not usually known to publish results before time.
When the result announcement happens, candidates who have taken the exam will have to check the result online.
One of the official websites of NBE is natboard.edu.in. As soon as the result is up, a new notice will be published at this website under the notice board section.
The other official website of the board is nbe.edu.in. Here, one has to click in the link NEET-MDS 2021 to go to the single web page for the NEET MDS 2021 updates. The result will be made available there as well.
The qualifying criteria for NEET MDS is to get 50th percentile for general, EWS category, 40th percentile for SC, ST, OBC, and 45th percentile for UR PWD. Corresponding scores are revealed at the time of result announcement.
However, in the past years, NEET MDS cut offs have undergone revision after initial announcement. For example last year, the cut offs were 286, 250, 268 for the different categories. Then they were reduced to 220, 188, 204.
A reduction in cut off happens when the number of eligible candidates is less than at least three times the vacancies.
It may be noted that NBE will first publish the merit list. It will be a pdf file containing roll number wise scores of candidates, and their ranks. In this case, only details of those candidates will be made public who have qualified with the necessary cut off. Here, details of those who have not qualified will not be available.
However some time later, NBE will publish the score cards of NEET MDS 2021. All candidates who have appeared in the exam – irrespective of whether they qualified or not – will be able to download their score cards. Whereas the merit list download would not require any login, the download score card would be limited to the test takers, and they would have to login with their ID and password to get their rank cards.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for MDS admissions – NEET MDS – was held on December 16, 2020. It was held as a socially distanced computer based test. The paper consisted of two parts – A and B, with part A having 100 questions, and part B with 140. Total questions in the test were 240, of 4 marks each. For each correct answer, candidate gets 4 marks, and in case of incorrect answer, 1 mark is deducted. In this way marks out of 960 are calculated.
