NEET 2020 Application Form

National Testing Agency has announced that it will release the NEET 2020 application form today, December 2, 2019, at 4 pm. NTA has conveyed this through the official website ntaneet.nic.in where it has published this message in marquee, “online submission of application form for NEET (UG) – 2020 will be available from 04:00 pm on 02.12.2019”.

However, there are chances that the apply link could be activated sooner.

Whenever the application form becomes available, candidates will be able to apply from ntaneet.nic.in. Notification or some update to this effect, that registrations are open, will also be updated at nta.ac.in.

The timing for launching registration for India’s only medical entrance exam was published by the premier testing agency on ntaneet.nic.in on December 2, 2019 midnight. This is the first time that the agency has provided an exact time for commencement of application form submission.

Providing form timings is not the only aspect of NEET that is different among other NTA exams. It is the only exam by the agency which is in pen and paper mode.

The National Testing Agency is updating details of the NEET exam for 2020-21 admissions at the old website of the exam only, that is ntaneet.nic.in. Until a few days ago it was being predicted that a new website will be launched at the url neet.nta.nic.in, as the agency had launched new websites for all other exams.

Now at ntaneet.nic.in, the information bulletin of NEET 2020, public notices in English and Hindi, contact details for the exam, all have been uploaded. By the time application form is launched, demo of application form, information at a glance, will also be published in pdf format.

Details to be filled in application form are already clear through the prospectus. Nevertheless, candidates are advised to go through the demo form before applying. Documents to be uploaded in the form include photograph and signature. To apply, candidates will have to pay the requisite fee in any one of the available modes that are debit card, credit card, net banking, UPI. the payment gateways use SBI, Syndicate, HDFC, ICICI, paytm.

Application fees are Rs 1500 for general, Rs 1400 for general EWS and OBC-NCL, and Rs 800 for SC, ST, PWD, transgender. In addition, they have to pay the requisite processing charges, goods and services tax that is GST.

Medical aspirants in India need to read the prospectus and notices, and apply online by the deadline of December 31, 2019, and pay fee by January 1, 2020.

Now that the prospectus and notices are available, it is crystal clear that NEET 2020 is the only medical entrance exam and AIIMS, JIPMER MBBS entrance exams have been cancelled. Also that upper age limit is provisionally not applicable that is candidates older than 25 years old can apply, though their eligibility will be as per final decisions of the court.
