According to a report by Times of India, the Medical Council of India (MCI) has announced the exam date for National-Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2018. To everyone’s surprise, the national level medical examination will not be held on 1st Sunday of May. Instead, it will be held on the second Thursday of the month, i.e. on May 10, 2018.

An official announcement regarding the same is pending. The daily also informs that MCI has clearly instructed that the medical and dental admission process should conclude on or before August 18, 2018.

The earlier proposed date for completing the medical and dental admission was August 31, 2018. However, MCI plans to end the process as soon as possible. Analysing the past few years trends the decision seems right because for some time it had been outstretched.

The official sources also disclosed that deemed University admission on the basis of NEET will begin from July 10, 2018. The counselling and admission will begin after the result of the exam is announced, in the 1st week of June 2018.

The online registration for NEET is expected to begin in the 2nd week of December 2017. The registration could only be done online, on cbseneet.nic.in. Candidates will first have to fill the basic details and only after that they will be able to access the NEET 2018 application form. Candidates should note that just like last year, Aadhaar Card will be a mandatory document to apply for the exam.

For registration, CBSE will only invite those candidates who will fulfil the eligibility criteria. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will also release the official information brochure with the forms. The dates for the exam, application deadline, admit card issuance, result, and more will be announced then.

The exam pattern is not expected to change this year. However, if it does then the information about it will also be given in the brochure. Until now, candidates had to appear for the exam in pen and paper mode. In all, 180 multiple choice questions were given and the candidates have to mark the answer on an OMR sheet. The questions were asked from Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects and the level of the exam was that suitable for the school pass outs.

NEET is the raison d’être for the medical aspirants in India, as it is the single medical entrance examination. For last few year, the aspirant had to suffer due to numerous sprouting amendments and unforeseen irregularities. However, the planning by the Council, for the upcoming exam, seems intact. The smooth conduct of NEET 2018 could be the benchmark for the sustainable and better medical admissions.

CBSE conducts National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for MBBS and BDS admission. It is the only entrance examination for medical admission and through it, 100 percent MBBS and BDS seats are filled in colleges and universities throughout the nation. The score of NEET is accepted by both private and Govt. medical institutes.

This must be held on Sunday, if it is possible then this exam let it be conducted any time anywhere basis through online means a candidate let it be allowed to open any browser with there home or any internet cafe and a mechanism need to develop keeping in mind of Digital India that after attempting the exam the number or result must be appear on the screen immediately and the exam process is framed only online not to OMR pattern since it is very old and takes lot of time to bring out the result. Since India is becoming Digital India and bringing the transparency in exam then this kind of method will support the examiner for smooth way conducting the exam.

Thursday / Sunday both are OK. Open candidate have very limited vacancies and no any other chances to apply even though eligible. Need to be regularize.Private Colleges Fees are very high even for open needs to be reduce and fixed for 6 years for that particular year admission candidate.
