MU OET 2019: Application Process Changed; 5 Important Things To Know Before Applying

The Manipal University has started the online registration process for MU OET 2019. The University conducts the entrance exam to offer admission to various UG and PG programs. The application form for MU OET 2019 has been released on October 10, 2018, online at manipal.edu. Manipal University has not yet published the complete schedule for the Online Manipal Entrance Test (MET 2019), however, as per last year’s observation, it is expected that the last date to submit the application form shall be March 2019.

#1. MU OET Application Process Changes; This is How you can apply

In comparison to the last year, it has been observed that there is a change in the MU OET 2019 Application Process. Unlike last year, in which students had to provide the elaborated Personal Details, educational qualification details, etc, for MU OET 2019, the application process has been simplified a lot. The students can now successfully submit their MU OET Application Form in four (04) steps – First, register online, Second, fill in details in the form, Third, Select the course, Fourth and last, pay the application fee.

To apply for MU OET 2019, the students need to visit the official website at manipal.edu. Then, click on the tab for “Apply Now”. The aspirants first have to enter details such as their Name, Email ID, Mobile Number, State, then select the course. Submit the details by clicking on the “Apply Now” button. On submitting the details, a new page will open in which the students have to click on the “Apply Now” link. Next, the students have to register by entering their Email ID, Mobile Number and creating a password for the login.

Once the registration part is over, the candidates will be directed to the application form for MU OET. In the application form, the candidates have to fill in all the necessary information. Also, they have to choose the course/ stream for which they wish to apply for and choose a preferable test center. The last and final step is to pay the application fee and submit the form.

#2. instructions for Uploading Photograph and Signature

At the time of filling in details in the MU OET 2019 Application Form, the aspirants also have to upload scanned images of their photograph and signature. Though the University has not specified any format or specification for the images which have to be uploaded in the form, yet, it is important for the students to upload correct images in the form.

The Photograph which is to be uploaded in the MET 2019 Application Form must not be a month old photo. Also, you should upload a color passport size photograph with a light background, preferably white. The face of the student and his/ her features (eyes and ears) should be clearly visible in the photo.

As far as the image of the Signature is concerned, you have to sign on a white sheet of paper with a Black/ blue ink pen. The signature should not be done in CAPITAL LETTERS.

#3. No change in the MU OET Application Fee

To submit the MU OET 2019 Application Form, the aspirants have to pay a requisite amount of the application fee and examination fee. The candidates have to pay the same amount as it was last year. the amount of application fee to be paid for submitting the MU OET Application Form is Rs. 600 (for all courses) for Indian Nationals and Rs. 2500 for Foreign /International/ NRI / NRI Sponsored category candidates.

However, for the courses in which the admission is through MU OET 2019, the students will have to pay an examination fee of Rs. 1400 (for selected courses only). This examination fee is to be paid by Indian nationals only.

The application/ exam fee for MU OET 2019 is to be paid by Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net banking. Fee paid through Cash/ Cheque/ Demand Draft or any other medium except for Online will not be accepted.

#4. Fulfillment of the Eligibility Criteria

It is important that the candidates should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria before they proceed to fill in details in the Application Form. Though the eligibility conditions are not verified at the time of registration of submittiing the application form, however, if a candidate qualifies the test, the eligibility will be verified at the time of admission. If a candidate is found ineligible, his/her candidature will stand canceled.

#5. Facility for Application Form shall not be provided by the Manipal Univeristy

Another important point to note is that before finally submitting the form the candidates should check that the details provided by them are correct or not. It may be possible that the Univeristy shall not provide a facility for application form correction. Hence, to avoid any issues it is advised to check the details before finally submitting it.
