The Manipal University has started the online application process for MU OET 2019. The candidates can register for the Online Manipal Entrance Test (MET) through online mode only at manipal.edu. The schedule for MU OET 2019 has not yet been announced, however, it is expected that the last date to submit the application form shall be the Second (02nd) week of Mar 2019.
The MU OET is being conducted for admission in 05 Under Graduate (UG), 18 Post Graduate (PG), and 01 Super Speciality (SS) courses. The courses which are offered through MU OET 2019 for UG are BPharm, PharmD, BTech, BBA and BA Media & Communication, PG programs offered are, MSc Medical, MSc Medical Clinical Embryology, MPT, MSc Clinical Psychology, MSc Audiology, MSc Speech-Language Pathology, MSc Medical Biotechnology, MSc Molecular Biotechnology & Human Genetics, MSc Clinical Virology, MCA, MTech, ME, MA Media & Communication, MA Film Art & Film Making, MPharm, PharmD PostBaccalaureatee, MSc Nursing, MSc Stem & Regenerative Biology. The Super Speciality (SS) Course offered is MPhil Clinical Psychology.
Other than the above courses, Manipal University also offers direct admission to various UG and PG programs like MBA, MArch, BArch, BHM, BA, MPH, etc. Admission in such courses is provided through the marks obtained in the qualifying examination or on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the national level test score like NATA, CAT, MAT, etc.
To apply for admission in these courses, it is important that the candidates should fulfill the eligibility conditions as decided by the Manipal University. Only after the students verify that they fulfill the eligibility criteria for MU OET, they should proceed to fill in details in the form.
To apply for admission in BPharm programme, the student should have passed Class 12th (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry and English with Mathematics or Biotechnology or Computer Science or Biology as optional subjects. There is an age limit criteria for applying for admission in Bachelor of Pharmacy.
However, those who wish to apply for PharmD programme, the candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and English with Mathematics or Biology as optional subjects / DPharm or any other equivalent qualification recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India. Also, there is an age limit criteria for applying for this programme.
The eligibility criteria for admission in Mpharm and PharmD Post Baccalaureate is that the candidates should possess a Bpharm from an institution recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India. The students should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
The eligibility criteria for B.Tech program is that the candidates should have passed Class 12th examination, or A Level, or IB, or American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional subjects. Also, the students should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects. There are no minimum age limit criteria to apply for B.Tech admission.
Those who wish to apply for M.Tech program should have passed BE/BTech or AMIE or equivalent in the respective field in which they wish to apply for. The admission will be granted through All India Manipal Entrance Test (MET 2019). Also, there are no age limit criteria for applying for M.Tech Admission.
The Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) offers admission in streams of study at the MSc level like Applied Mathematics and Computing, Chemistry, Physics and Geology. The eligibility criteria for admission in these courses are that the candidates should have passed BSc in the respective subject in which a candidate wishes to apply for with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
Admission in M.Sc Clinical Embryology is granted to those candidates who qualify the eligbility criteria and qualify the entrance examination. Those who have completed their BSc with Reproduction, Zoology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Bioscience or Physiology as one of the subjects are eligible. Also, the students should have obtained not less than 60% marks in aggregate at the qualifying examination.
The MSc Medical program is offered at Kasturba Medical college is various Streams – Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology & Physiology. To apply for admission in this course, the candidate should have passed BSc with at least one subject of Biological Sciences or BAMS or MBBS or BHMS or BPT or BPharm; any other professional graduate degree from a recognized University; BSc with Physics and Chemistry optional. Also, they must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
The Masters of Science in Clinical Embryology is offered by Kasturba Medical College, Manipal Campus. To apply for this, the candidate should have Candidates should have passed BSc with Reproduction, Zoology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Bioscience or Physiology as one of the subjects. Should have secured a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.
The Master in Physiotherapy (MPT) program, started in 2003, is provided by the School of Allied Health Sciences (SOAHS) Manipal. The eligibility criteria for admission in this is that the candidates should have passed BPT from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Also, it is mandatory for candidates to complete the compulsory internship on or before July 31 of the admission year.
The eligibility criteria for M.Sc. in Audiology and M.Sc. in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) program is that the candidates should have completed their graduation in B.ASLP / B.Sc (Speech & Hearing) / BSLH from any recognized University by the Rehabilitation Council of India. The candidates should have secured not less than 55% of marks. Furthermore, the applicants shall not be older than 30 years on the 1st July of the year of admission.
The School of Life Sciences offers admission in Masters of sciences in Medical Biotechnology (MSc in Medical Biotechnology). The course was started in 2006. The eligibility criteria to apply for this course is that the candidates must have passed Bachelors degree in any Life Science subject from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
The eligibilty criteria for admission in MSc Molecular Biotechnology & Human Genetics is that the candidates must have passed BSc with at least one subject of Biological Sciences/ BAMS/ MBBS/BHMS/BPT/BPharm or any other professional graduate programme from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
The admission in MSc in Virology is offered by the Department of Virus Research. The candidates must have Bachelors degree in Life Sciences or BVSc or BSc Medical Laboratory Technology or MBBS or BSc Biotechnology or BSc Microbiology/ Biochemistry/Zoology or any other related subjects preferably above 60% marks in aggregate or CGPA 6.5 at UG level.
The eligibility criteria for admission in MA Media & Communication is that the candidates should hold a Bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognized university and a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. There are no minimum age limit criteria for admission in this programme.
For admission in MA in Film Art & Film Making, the students should hold a Bachelors degree of minimum 03 years or more duration in any discipline. The candidates should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in their degree examination.
The candidates who wish to apply for admission in MSc Nursing should be Pass in BSc/PC BSc/PB BSc Nursing recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, and a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Furthermore, the MSc Nursing applicants must have 1 year of experience as on July 31 of the academic year after BSc Nursing in a hospital of at least 100 beds or in a community health program or in a school or college of nursing. PB BSc Degree holders need to have one year experience either before or after Post Basic BSc Nursing degree.
The MPhil Clinical Psychology is a specialized course which is offered by the Department of Clinical Psychology. The eligibility criteria for admission in this programe is that the candidates must have passed 2 years MA Psychology or MSc Psychology from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate in the master degree course as a whole.
