Assistant Surgeon job seekers finally can see the result of their performance in the MRB 2018 Assistant Surgeon (General) Exam. Medical Services Recruitment Board (MRB) has announced the result on December 12, 2018. The Examination was conducted on December 09, 2018 at the Chennai Exam Centre for direct recruitment of Assistant Surgeon (General) in Tamil Nadu Medical Services. The board has updated the result on the official website – http://www.mrb.tn.gov.in.
Students who had appeared for the exam can now check the result by visiting the above-mentioned website and click on the “Results” tab on the home page. Next, the students will see the Announcement that reads as ‘Marks Scored by the Candidates in Assistant Surgeon (General) Examination, 2018’; click on it. Next, a PDF file having the Exam No, Application Number and the Marks out of 100 are available. Students can easily press Ctrl+F on the keyboard and find the marks using the Application Number.
The qualification criteria in the MRD Assistant Surgeon Exam is that the candidates need to score at least 35 marks ➤ General category and 30 marks ➤ (SC/ST) category. All the students who have scored the minimum marks as per their category need to submit their respective documents as and when they are called for by the MRD. The candidates will be notified about the same on the official website.

Salary Package for Assistant Surgeon (General)
The students who will be finally selected will be kept on a Level 22 pay scale of Rs 56,100 – Rs 177500/-. The selected candidate has to join within 30 days of being called.
One set of duly attested copies of the above documents along with 2 copies of the candidate’s color photograph have to be submitted. Make sure that the submitted photograph is identical to the uploaded photograph. Also, the candidates have to ensure that they join their duty within 30 days. In case of failure to join, the board will remove the name from the approved list.
Candidates taking up the position of Assistant Surgeon (General) will abide by the rules and regulations formed by the Government of India and the medical board. The selected candidate accepts to serve in the Govt. Medical institutes for not less than 3 years which includes the training period. Such candidates are not permitted to undergo any course within the 2 years period. However, in the event that the candidate is under contractual obligation to serve at State Government / Central Government / Private Institutions, he/she will have to submit a No Objection Certificate from the appointing Authority General.
